A managing apparatus includes: a data collecting unit that collects at least quality information on a workpiece having been machined by a first machine tool and operational information on other machine, an analyzing unit that performs an analysis for determining correlation between the quality information on a workpiece having been machined by the first machine tool and the operational information on the other machine, an operation plan making unit that makes an operation plan, based on the correlation determined by the analyzing unit, for imposing a restriction on an operation of the other machine to reduce vibrations to be transmitted to the first machine tool during high-precision machining performed by the first machine tool, and an operation instruction providing unit that provides an operation instruction to the other machine based on the operation plan made by the operation plan making unit.

Managing apparatus and managing system

A managing apparatus includes a data collecting unit that collects at least quality information on a workpiece having been machined by a first machine tool and operational information on other machine, an analyzing unit that performs an analysis for determining correlation between the quality information on a workpiece having been machined by the first machine tool and a change in the operational information on the other machine, an operation plan making unit that makes an operation plan, based on the correlation determined by the analyzing unit, for imposing a restriction on an operation of the other machine to reduce a change in environmental temperature of the first machine tool during high-precision machining performed by the first machine tool, and an operation instruction providing unit that provides an operation instruction to the other machine based on the operation plan made by the operation plan making unit.

A tool exchanger includes a variation detection unit configured to detect a variation periodically generated by turning operation of a turret; and a turret phase detection unit configured to set a tool indexing reference phase of the turret based on a detection result from the variation detection unit.

In order to provide a tool changer that can detect an entry of a foreign substance into a turret mechanism portion or wear of a turret mechanism part, a tool changer of the present invention includes a reference phase false detection sensing portion that monitors load variations which occur in a turret drive source and detects an entry of a foreign substance into the turret mechanism portion based on a difference between the load variations and a reference load used as a reference. Moreover, the reference phase false detection sensing portion can also detect the progress of wear of the turret mechanism part based on the integral of the absolute value of a difference between the load variations which occur in the turret drive source and the reference load used as a reference.

Tool changer

A distance measurement holder is attached to the main shaft of a machine tool. A laser beam emitted from a holder main body is reflected by a reflection mirror section fixed to a tapered sleeve, and reflected by a measurement target, and then received by a light receiving section provided in the holder main body. The tapered sleeve is fit into the main shaft and supported to be rotatable relative to the holder main body. The distance measurement holder is shaped such that the angle of a side surface of the reflection mirror section changes in accordance with the rotation angle of the main shaft. The distance measurement holder thus configured determines the distance between the main shaft and the measurement target to determine whether or not a jig, a workpiece, the main shaft, and a cutting tool interfere with each other in the range of a rapid positioning motion specified in an NC program.
