A first control may be for setting a tempo upon which a performance position, which may be set with a second control, may be based. Circuitry may be selectively passing inputted musical tone signal. A processor may be configured for processing data for controlling an output signal of the circuitry based on the performance position.

Effect device systems and methods

A timer may be for timing a current time period corresponding to an amount of time since a previous operation of an operator. Circuitry may be for processing data to carry out a performance based on a set tempo. The circuitry may be configured to change a position of the performance to a specified position of the performance in a case where the operator is operated and the current time period equals or exceeds a specified time period. The circuitry may be configured to change the tempo based on the current time period in a case where the operator is operated and the current time period is less than the specified time period.

Performance device systems and methods

The disclosure presented here involves an effect device that can easily connect with other effect devices in parallel. A preferred embodiment of this device is equipped with a number of components including an effect add means that adds effects, a mixing means that mixes the musical signals, a mode switching means that configures the operation from parallel mode to serial mode, and a phase reversal means that reverses the phase of the musical sound signals. Various combinations using the above means are possible and are presented in this disclosure. The output terminal outputs the musical sound signals that were selected, mixed, and or treated by the enabled features of the underlying embodiments.

Effect system

A tuning device includes a pitch extraction device with which the pitch of an input signal is extracted and a deviation detection device with which the deviation of the pitch that has been extracted by the pitch extraction device from a standard pitch is detected. The deviation that has been detected by the deviation detection device is displayed by an indicator of a mechanical meter. The tuning device also includes an ultrasonic motor that drives the indicator. A controller drives the ultrasonic motor in conformance with the deviation that has been detected by the deviation detection device. The controller, by driving the indicator using the ultrasonic motor, arranges the indicator in the standard position in those cases where the deviation that has been detected by the deviation detection device is zero, and moves the indicator up to a position in the positive direction that corresponds to the deviation in those cases where the deviation is a positive value and moves the indicator up to a position in the negative direction that corresponds to the deviation in those cases where the deviation is a negative value.
