COdesorption catalyst

A COrecovery apparatus capable of recovering COby using only a low-quality exhaust heat at 100&#xb0; C. or less is provided. The present invention includes an absorption tower for allowing a basic aqueous solution to absorb CO; and a regenerator for heating a basic aqueous solution with COabsorbed therein using a heating medium having a temperature of 100&#xb0; C. or less, thereby desorbing CO.

A COrecovery unit includes an absorber that reduces COin flue gas () discharged from a combustion facility () by absorbing COby an absorbent, a regenerator that heats the absorbent having absorbed COto emit CO, and regenerates and supplies the absorbent to the absorber, and a regenerating heater that uses steam () supplied from the combustion facility () for heating the absorbent in the regenerator and returns heated condensed water () to the combustion facility (). The COrecovery unit further includes a condensed water/flue gas heat exchanger () that heats the condensed water () to be returned from the regenerating heater to the combustion facility () by heat-exchanging the condensed water () with the flue gas () in a flue gas duct () in the combustion facility ().

The COrecovery apparatus is provided with a COabsorption portion for absorbing COin a CO-containing exhaust gas by a COabsorbing liquid, a water washing portion provided on the upper portion side of the COabsorption portion so as to cool a CO-removed exhaust gas and also recover the accompanying COabsorbing liquid, a washing liquid circulation line for directly circulating a washing liquid containing the COabsorbing liquid recovered in the water washing portion, an extraction line for extracting part of the washing liquid containing the COabsorbing liquid as an extracted liquid from the washing liquid circulation line, a concentration portion for separating a gas component (water vapor) from the extracted liquid while concentrating the COabsorbing liquid, and a concentrated liquid feed line for feeding a concentrated liquid concentrated in the concentration portion to the side of an absorbing liquid regeneration tower.

A system for collecting carbon dioxide in flue gas includes a stack that discharges flue gas discharged from an industrial facility to outside, a blower that is installed at the downstream side of the stack and draws the flue gas therein, a carbon-dioxide collecting device that collects carbon dioxide in the flue gas drawn in by the blower, and a gas flow sensor arranged near an exit side within the stack. A drawing amount of the flue gas by the blower to the carbon-dioxide collecting device is increased until an flow rate of the flue gas from the stack becomes zero in the gas flow sensor, and when the discharged amount of flue gas from the stack becomes zero, drawing in any more than that amount is stopped, and the carbon dioxide in the flue gas is collected while the flue gas is drawn in by a substantially constant amount.

An absorbent according to the present invention absorbs COor HS contained in flue gas emitted from a power generating plant such as a thermal plant, and contains three or more amine compounds selected from linear or cyclic amine compounds having a primary amino group, and linear or cyclic amine compounds having a secondary amino group. By way of a synergetic effect of the mixture of these compounds, the absorption speed of COor HS absorption is improved. A small amount of COcontained in a large amount of boiler flue gas can be absorbed efficiently.

A reclaiming apparatusincludes: a sealed containerthat is an absorbent reservoir for storing therein a part of an absorbent that has absorbed COin flue gas, and a heater that heats the absorbent stored in the sealed container. The reclaiming apparatusdistributes a part of the absorbent stored in the sealed container, and brings the distributed absorbent into counter-current contact with steam. Because a part of the absorbent stored in the absorbent reservoir is brought into counter-current contact with the steam, absorbent component contained therein becomes volatilized, and is separated from depleted materials. In this manner, the absorbent component can be extracted from the depleted materials, and a loss of the absorbent can be reduced.

Reclaiming method

A COrecovery system includes an absorption tower and a regeneration tower. COrich solution is produced in the absorption tower by absorbing COfrom CO-containing gas. The COrich solution is conveyed to the regeneration tower where lean solution is produced from the rich solution by removing CO. A regeneration heater heats lean solution that accumulates near a bottom portion of the regeneration tower with saturated steam thereby producing steam condensate from the saturated steam. A steam-condensate heat exchanger heats the rich solution conveyed from the absorption tower to the regeneration tower with the steam condensate.

A COrecovery system according to the present invention includes: a cooling tower that uses cooling water to cool a CO-containing exhaust gas discharged from industrial equipment such as a boiler or a gas turbine; a COabsorber that brings the cooled CO-containing exhaust gas into contact with a CO-absorbent that absorbs CO, thereby removing the COfrom the exhaust gas; and a first absorbent regenerator and a second absorbent regenerator that release COfrom a CO-absorbent that has absorbed CO(rich solution), thereby regenerating the CO-absorbent. A second lean solution at the outlet of the second absorbent regenerator is subjected to vacuum flash vaporization, and the resulting vapor is inputted to the first absorbent regenerator.

Provided are a COabsorber that reduces COcontained in flue gas; a regenerator that reduces COcontained in rich solvent absorbing COto regenerate the rich solvent, so that lean solvent having the COreduced in the regenerator is reused in the COabsorber; a heat exchanger that allows the rich solvent to exchange heat with the lean solvent; and a controller that controls to extract rich solvent portion that is part of the rich solvent, to allow the rich solvent portion to bypass the heat exchanger, and to be supplied into the top of the regenerator without exchanging heat so as to minimize a sum of an enthalpy that is taken out of the regenerator as COgas accompanying steam and an enthalpy of the lean solvent after heat exchange with the rich solvent in the heat exchanger.
