A damper device is disposed between an engine and a transmission and has a torque distribution mechanism that is provided with a first input element connected to the engine, a second input element connected to the engine via an elastic member, a first output element connected to the transmission, and a second output element connected to the transmission. The damper device further has a first clutch that is disposed between the first output element and the transmission, and is switched between an engaged state of connecting the first output element to the transmission and a released state of disconnecting the first output element from the transmission, and a second clutch that is disposed between the second output element and the transmission, and is switched between an engaged state of connecting the second output element to the transmission and a released state of disconnecting the second output element from the transmission.

Damper device

A transmission includes an input shaft to receive a rotation of an engine, drive gears respectively attached to the input shaft to freely rotate individually, an output shaft disposed parallel to the input shaft in order to output rotation following a gear shift, driven gears respectively attached to the output shaft to freely rotate individually and to mesh with the drive gears, an engagement mechanism to fix a gear to be used in a gear shift individually, from among the drive gears, to the input shaft to be incapable of relative rotation, and a selector mechanism to fix, during the gear shift, the driven gear of a corresponding gear position individually, which meshes with the drive gear fixed to the input shaft by the engagement mechanism, to the output shaft to be incapable of relative rotation, and a hub that is fixed to the input shaft.

Transmission

A damper device is provided between an engine and a transmission and has a torque distribution mechanism that is provided with a first input element connected to the engine, a second input element connected to the engine via a first elastic member, a first output element connected to transmission, and a second output element connected to the transmission via a second elastic member. The damper device further has a first clutch that is provided between the first output element and the transmission and that is switched between an engaged state of connecting the first output element to the transmission and a released state of disconnecting the first output element from the transmission, and a second clutch that is provided between the second output element and the transmission and that is switched between an engaged state of connecting the second output element to the transmission and a released state of disconnecting the second output element from the transmission.

In a transmission, an input shaft connected to a startup clutch includes a first input shaft and a second input shaft. Drive gears are fixed to a first main shaft and a second main shaft, and driven gears are provided on an output shaft to be free to rotate relative thereto. The driven gears are connected to and disconnected from the output shaft by a gear switching mechanism. A shaft switching mechanism that switches a power transmission path between the first main shaft and the second main shaft is provided on the first main shaft, the second main shaft, and the second input shaft. A damping mechanism is provided between the first input shaft and the second input shaft in order to cut spike torque generated when the power transmission path is switched, to a set torque.

A transmission includes an input shaft to receive the rotation of an engine, drive gears attached to the input shaft so as to freely rotate, an output shaft to output rotation following a gear shift, driven gears that are attached to the output shaft so as to freely rotate and mesh with the drive gears, an engagement mechanism to fix a gear to be used in a gear shift, from among the drive gears, to the input shaft to be incapable of relative rotation prior to a gear shift, and a selector mechanism to fix, during the gear shift, the driven gear of a corresponding gear position, which meshes with the drive gear fixed to the input shaft by the engagement mechanism, to the output shaft to be incapable of relative rotation.

A transmission includes first and second rotating shafts arranged in parallel and multiple gear sets including gears fixed to the first rotating shaft and rotatable gears rotatably supported on the second rotating shaft. Each gear set includes first and second engagement units engaged with first and second engagement-target portions formed on end surfaces of each rotatable gear and transmitting torque in first and second rotational directions; and a shift mechanism axially and independently moving the first and second engagement units. Each one of the first and second engagement units has a slanted portion allowing the engagement unit to withdraw from the rotatable gear when the other one of the engagement units is disengaged and torque transmitted in a corresponding direction is input. Each one of the first and second engagement unit of each gear set moves integrally with the other one of the engagement units of an adjacent gear set.
