A printing apparatus which includes a circulation route configured to supply ink stored in a storage unit to a print head via a supply passage and send back the ink collected from the print head to the storage unit via a collection passage and which performs printing on a print medium by ejecting the ink from the print head includes: a first detection unit which detects an ink concentration in the collection passage; an injection unit which injects a correcting liquid capable of correcting the ink concentration into a circulated ink flow downstream of a position where the first detection unit detects the concentration in the collection passage; and a control unit which obtains an injection amount of the correcting liquid based on the concentration detected by the first detection unit and controls the injection unit such that the correcting liquid is injected in the injection amount.

There is provided a liquid ejection apparatus configured to circulate ink between an ink tank and an ejection head, the liquid ejection apparatus being capable of suppressing degradation of an ejection performance with a simple, inexpensive, and compact configuration. A liquid ejection head includes a liquid ejection substrate and a liquid reservoir. The liquid ejection substrate includes a plurality of liquid ejection sections. The liquid ejection sections include pressure chambers configured to hold liquid and ejection ports communicating with the pressure chambers. The pressure chambers each include a pressure unit configured to apply pressure to the liquid in each of the pressure chambers. The pressed liquid is ejected through the ejection ports. The liquid reservoir is in contact with a back of the liquid ejection substrate opposite to the ejection ports. The liquid reservoir is partitioned into at least one common liquid channel and a first common liquid chamber. The common liquid channel communicates with one of inlets and outlets of the plurality of pressure chambers. The first common liquid chamber communicates with another of the inlets and the outlets.

A driving device for a liquid ejection head is configured to drive a plurality of piezoelectric elements of a liquid ejection head, the liquid ejection head including a plurality of ejection orifices configured to eject liquid and the plurality of piezoelectric elements configured to generate energy for ejecting liquid from the plurality of ejection orifices. The driving device includes a control circuit unit including storage sections and transfer circuits, and a drive circuit unit including a plurality of individual drive circuit sections.
