A shoeincludes a twist allowance partand a medial reinforcement member(bend restraining part). The twist allowance partis provided in a medial part of a midfoot portion in a shoe soleserving as a bottom portion and allows medial twisting of the heel side with respect to the toe side. The medial reinforcement memberis disposed on the twist allowance partand restrains upward bending of the heel side in the medial part.

A shoe includes an outsole including a ground contact surface to be in contact with the ground, and an upper attached directly or indirectly to the outsole opposite to the ground contact surface. The outsole includes an outsole body, and a roll-up portion extending from an edge of the outsole body toward the upper. The outsole also includes a flexible region in which at least one cut is formed to extend from the outsole body to the roll-up portion.

A plurality of rubber-made medial cleats project from a base surface of an outsole in a medial portion of a forefoot portion, and a plurality of rubber-made lateral cleats project from the base surface of the outsole in a lateral portion of the forefoot portion, wherein a first engaging surface of each of the medial cleats faces toward a posterior direction or an obliquely posterior direction and a second engaging surface of each of the lateral cleats faces toward an anterior direction or an obliquely anterior direction.

An upper including: a cord placed along the longitudinal direction, the cord running through the through holes of the reinforcement members of the medial side portion and/or the lateral side portion; exposed areas in which portions of the cord are placed exposed; and a shoelace engaging with the cord in the exposed areas in a transverse direction of the foot so as to bring the medial side portion and the lateral side portion closer to each other, wherein each of the upper end portions of at least one reinforcement member is attached to the flexible member in one of a fore portion and a rear portion, and is set to be un-attached to the flexible member in the other one of the fore portion and the rear portion.
