In a prefilled syringe including an elastic seal member to be pierced with a needle for use to eject a protein pharmaceutical preparation therefrom, the elastic seal member ensures smooth and reliable piercing thereof with the needle while reliably preventing an active substance of the protein pharmaceutical preparation from being adsorbed thereon. When a protective film () is laminated to a top surface of a seal body () of an elastic material, the protective film () is stretched to a greater extent by a recess () provided in the top surface. Further, the piercing portion to be pierced with the needle is provided in a bottom of the recess (). Thus, the protective film () is formed as locally having a smaller thickness in the piercing portion.

A container packing filler includes an annular roll portion formed by folding one of axially opposite end portions of a stretchable tubular net radially outward and rolling the net toward the other end portion of the net, and a rigid holder portion provided at the other end portion of the net. The holder portion has sufficient axial length and a width greater than the diameter of a center hole of the annular roll portion so that, when the holder portion of the packing filler is squeezed into the center hole of the annular roll portion, the annular roll portion is expanded from the inside thereof by the holder portion and layers of the annular roll portion are unitarily rolled inward.

An infusion vessel has a vessel body having an internal cavity to serve as an infusion medium space, a cylindrical discharge mouth continuing from a lower portion of the vessel body, a medicine chamber disposed in the discharge mouth and kept airtight against ambient air, and a separator intervening between the infusion medium space and the medicine chamber so as to keep the space in a liquid-tight state against the holder. The separator is subject to displacement, rotation or deformation such as to bring the infusion medium space into communication with the medicine chamber, so that the infusion vessel can be made ready for use by conducting a simple operation to mix the medicine with the infusion medium that have been separated from each other within the vessel during its normal state before use.

The present invention provides an infusion vessel, which is capable of separately containing a drug and a infusion liquid in a sterile manner and mixing the drug with the infusion liquid in a sterile manner by a simple operation for use, while ensuring the sterility of a connector thereof. The infusion vessel according to the present invention comprises a bag () for containing a infusion liquid, a two-mouth vial () for containing a drug, and a joint () connecting the bag and the vial. A lower mouth portion () of the vial () is sealed with a rubber plug (). The joint () is air-tightly connected to a liquid outlet port () provided in a bottom portion of the bag (), and extends downward. The joint () has an opening () for communication between the inside and the outside thereof. An O-ring () and an intermediate rubber plug () are respectively attached to the joint () above and below the opening (), and fitted in the upper mouth portion () of the vial () in an axially movable manner.
