An absorbent article () of the present invention includes a leg cuff (). The leg cuff () has leg elastic members (). The leg cuff () can be divided, by an imaginary line (IL) passing through the center (ct) between an outermost leg elastic member () that is located farthest outward and an innermost leg elastic member () that is located farthest inward, into a leg cuff first region (ST) that extends from the imaginary line (IL) up to and including the outermost leg elastic member () and a leg cuff second region (IT) that extends from the imaginary line (IL) up to and including the innermost leg elastic member (). When the elongation amount of the leg cuff first region (ST) and the leg cuff second region (IT) in a natural state is defined as 0, and the elongation amount thereof in a maximally stretched state is defined as 100, the stress in the leg cuff first region (ST) is greater than the stress in the leg cuff second region (IT) when the elongation amount is 5. Moreover, the stress in the leg cuff second region (IT) is greater than the stress in the leg cuff first region (ST) when the elongation amount is 100.

Absorbent article having elastic members

A leak-proof cuff () is divided into a lower region () and a upper region (). The upper region () includes a first region (A) located at the side of a free edge (B) relative to the center in the width direction (Y) and a second region (B) located at the side of a folding line (). In each of the first region (A) and the second region (B), at least one elastic member () extending along the longitudinal direction (X) is provided in a stretched state. Absorbent article

An absorbent article () of the present invention has, in at least one of a front portion and a rear portion thereof, an elasticized portion (G) that is stretchable and contractible in an article lateral direction (Y). The elasticized portion (G) has an outer sheet () to be disposed on a side that is away from the skin of a wearer, an inner sheet () to be disposed on a side that is closer to the skin of the wearer than the outer sheet () is, and a plurality of elastic members () that are arranged between the outer and inner sheets in a state in which the elastic members are stretched in the article lateral direction (Y). The outer sheet () and the inner sheet () are partially joined to each other at a joined region (). The joined region () is sandwiched between non-joined regions () where the outer sheet () and the inner sheet () are not continuously joined to each other in an article longitudinal direction or the article lateral direction. A plurality of the joined regions () and a plurality of the non-joined regions () are repeatedly arranged in the article longitudinal direction or the article lateral direction. The outer sheet () is configured to be deformable so as to bulge toward a non-skin-facing surface side due to contraction of the elastic members () and form a plurality of folds () along the article longitudinal direction (X) or the article lateral direction (Y). The absorbent article () has holes penetrating the outer sheet () at positions in the folds () formed by the outer sheet (), the positions overlapping the elastic members () in a thickness direction.

A pair of leg flapseach having an elastic member is provided along the laterally opposite side edges of the absorbent member. A disposable diaper capable of being put on from either the front or the back of a wearer is disclosed. The longitudinal end section having the fastening tapes has a waist elastic member and an extensible side part. The absorbent member is disposed such that its longitudinal end in the section having the fastening tapes is nearer to the waist portion of that section than the centerline parallel to the diaper width direction and dividing each of the extensible side parts into equal halves. Two portions on opposite sides of the centerline dividing the length of the diaper in equal halves have a saturated absorption capacity ratio of 45/55 to 55/45. The natural length of the waist elastic member in the state removed from the diaper is 60 to 80% of the length of the waist elastic member as provided in the diaper.
