An electromagnetic relay has a fixed touch piece having a fixed contact, a movable touch piece having a movable contact contactably and separably opposed to the fixed contact, and configured to elastically deform, an auxiliary member configured to energize the movable touch piece to the fixed contact piece side, an electromagnet, and an intermediate member configured to be operated by magnetization of the electromagnet and elastically deform the movable touch piece.

Electromagnetic relay

An electromagnetic relay including an electromagnet block having a rod-shaped iron core, a coil wound around the rod-shaped iron core, and a spool interposed between the coil and iron core. A yoke having one end section extends to a section at a side of a magnet pole section of the iron core. An end section of the yoke is arranged so that the magnet pole section has a gap on a base side. A moving iron is pivotably supported by an elastic support of a hinge spring. The electromagnet block is magnetized wherein a section drawn in the moving iron is drawn to the magnet pole section and pivoted to drive a contact switching unit. The hinge spring includes an elastic contacting portion extending toward an opposite side to the elastic support. The moving iron is integrated with a card member that comes in contact with the elastic contacting portion.

An electromagnetic relay including a contact switching unit having a pair of contacts. An electromagnet block drives the contact switching unit to open and close the contacts. An arc-extinguishing member includes a connection member and permanent magnets. The connection member is formed by connecting, via a middle part, opposing walls arranged in a direction perpendicular to the touch/separation direction of the contacts. Permanent magnets are disposed on opposing sections of the opposing walls.

An electromagnetic relay including a contact switching unit formed by arranging at least two contact groups, in parallel with each other and perpendicular to the touch/separation direction of the contacts, each of the contact group includes a pair of contacts that can touch and separate; an electromagnet block that drives the contact switching unit to open and close the contacts; and an arc-extinguishing member comprising a connection member made from a magnetic material and formed by a connection of protrusions that respectively protrude from both sides of a middle part in the direction of the parallel arrangement of the contact groups and between the contact groups, and also comprising permanent magnets respectively disposed at least on the opposing positions of the protrusions located on both sides of the middle part.

An electromagnetic relay has a fixed touch piece having a fixed contact; a movable touch piece, having a movable contact contactably and separably opposed to the fixed contact, and configured to elastically deform, an electromagnet, an intermediate member that rotates based on magnetization and demagnetization of the electromagnet and elastically deforms the movable touch piece, and an energization unit that energizes the movable touch piece to the fixed contact piece side via the intermediate member.

To promptly extinguish an arc generated between contacts with a simple and inexpensive structure without negatively influencing the spring property of a movable contact piece. A contact switching mechanism includes a fixed contact piece with a fixed contact and a movable contact piece with a movable contact which faces the fixed contact in a contactable manner. At least either one of the contact pieces is provided with an extension which extends toward the contact of the remaining contact piece.

Contact switching mechanism and electromagnetic relay

Provided is a technology which has a simple structure, is easy to manufacture, and does not increase cost. A terminal member to be press-fitted into a terminal hole formed in a base, includes a press-fitted portion which is to be press-fitted in the terminal hole, and a terminal portion extending from the press-fitted portion and protruding from the base. The terminal portion is formed by folding a plate-like body such that folded portions overlap a planar portion. At least one of the folded portions has a cut-away portion extending from the base, respectively at an edge near the press-fitted portion. A sealing agent can be injected into the terminal hole via the cut-away portions.

In the supporting structure of fixed contact terminals, a pair of fixed contact terminals with respective fixed contacts provided on their free ends are supported by fixed contact bases and the both ends of a movable contact piece contact with and separate from the pair of the fixed contacts. Cut-off grooves are provided on the surfaces of the fixed contact bases at each position near the fixed contacts, and they are formed in a converted T shape on a cross section, partitioning the pair of fixed contact terminals.

Supporting structure of fixed contact terminals

An electromagnetic relay has an iron core having a protruding shaft and a magnetic pole portion. The protruding shaft is penetrated through a through hole provided on a metal case, and coil is wound around the protruding shaft. A voltage is applied to the coil for magnetization and stopped for demagnetization, hence to drive a contact mechanism with a movable iron piece that is attracted by and separated from the magnetic pole portion, thereby causing a reciprocating motion of the movable iron piece. The relay can prevent generation of eddy current.

Switching device

An electromagnetic relay includes an electromagnet block having coils wound about the bodies of spools through which iron cores are provided. The electromagnet block is accommodated in a concave part that opens upward of a box-shaped case such that the shaft centers of the iron cores can be orthogonal to the bottom surface of the box-shaped case. The electromagnet block is excited and demagnetized by the passage and break of electric current through the coils so that a contact mechanism can be driven by a movable iron piece that is absorbed to and leaves magnetic pole portions at the upper ends of the iron cores. In this case, the electromagnet block is hung at the upper opening edge of the box-shaped case such that a space can be provided between the bottom surface of the box-shaped case and the electromagnet block.

A switching device which can be small-sized by improving a shielding performance and can improve the reliability of switching characteristics. A permanent magnet disposed near stationary contacts is arranged in its pole-face perpendicularly of the axis of a moving contact member.

A switching device of low power consumption type, in which magnetic pole portions of a pair of iron cores constructing an electromagnet block are individually arranged on the bottom face of a sealing case . The other end portions of the paired iron cores are connected to each other by a yoke . As the electromagnet block is magnetized and demagnetized, the two end portions of a moving iron member of a contact mechanism block are attracted by and leave the paired magnetic pole portions of the iron cores

The object of this invention is to provide a relay unit and a housing for that unit to be used when a number of relay switches are installed side by side in a circuit to switch a power supply circuit on and off. A number of compartments are provided in a case with an open top such that one relay fits into each compartment. The relays are placed into these compartments, and a cover is fitted onto the open top of the case. Slits are provided along the upper edge of the case and/or in the cover, through which the connectors attached to the terminals of the various relays can pass. The cover is placed on top of the case with the connectors attached to the terminals of the various relays running through the various slits. With this invention, a number of relay switches are put into a single package (housing), thus making the relays easier to handle. The package makes it easier to mount and wire multiple relay switches. Because the positions of the connectors are controlled by the slits in the case, the connectors cannot rotate if they receive an accidental impact. This prevents accidental short circuits.
