The pressurizing section converts, by the supply of the fluid to the fluid-chamber, a state of the fluid-chamber into a first-state in which the first-contact-portion and the first-seal-portion come into contact with each other or a second-state in which the contact between the first-contact portion and the first-seal-portion is released so that the first-fluid-chamber and the second-fluid-chamber communicate with each other.

A flow passage member is used in a liquid ejecting head including an ejecting unit. The ejecting unit communicates with a self-sealing unit which is a negative pressure generation mechanism. The flow passage member includes a flow passage internal pressure adjustment mechanism that adjusts a pressure inside a flow passage between the self-sealing unit and the ejecting unit by changing a volume of the flow passage on a way of the flow passage and a flow passage opening and closing mechanism that opens and closes the flow passage on a way of a flow passage between the self-sealing unit and the flow passage internal pressure adjustment mechanism.

A liquid ejecting head includes a first member on which a flexible members is arranged, a second member having a facing surface facing the flexible member, an elastic body that is interposed between the flexible member and the facing surface, a first support portion disposed on the flexible member which supports one end of the elastic body, a second support portion disposed on the facing surface which has a recess of which a side surface has a tapered portion formed therein to guide the other end of the elastic body toward a bottom surface of the recess, and a protruding portion that is disposed on either the flexible member or the facing surface and that becomes interposed between the flexible member and the facing surface around the periphery of the recess when the flexible member is flexibly bent toward the facing surface.

A flow path opening/closing apparatus includes a lid member and a receptacle member fixed to the lid member. The receptacle member includes a first wall that defines an outflow opening that is open to the lid member and a second wall provided around the first wall. The lid member closes the outflow opening by contacting the first wall due to relative movement of the lid member with respect to the receptacle member. A surface that is one of surfaces of the first wall and that faces the lid member and a surface that is one of surfaces of the second wall and that faces the lid member are separate by a stepped portion.

A liquid storage container includes the first electrode, the second electrode which penetrate from an outside to an inside of a storage portion and extend in a direction intersecting a vertical direction, and a support portion which is provided in the storage portion and supports the first electrode. In the vertical direction, a height of the second electrode is equal to a height of the first electrode or is lower than the height of the first electrode. The support portion includes a support wall which supports the first electrode and a side wall intersects the support wall and is wide from the support wall in the vertically downward direction. The support wall is capable of being protruded to the second electrode side further than a meniscus formed in the ink between the first electrode and the support wall in the second electrode of the first electrode.
