A hand dryer includes an air-stream generating device including a device air inlet, an inner housing that accommodates therein the air-stream generating device and has an inner air inlet formed in an intake surface thereof, and an outer housing that accommodates therein the inner housing and the air-stream generating device and has an outer air inlet formed therein. An intake air passage that connects the outer air inlet and the device air inlet to each other is formed inside the outer housing to include the intake surface and an opposing surface as a portion of a wall surface thereof, and a projection is provided on the opposing surface to project from a region that is opposed to the inner air inlet towards the intake surface. The projection has a first surface facing an upstream side in the intake air passage.

Hand dryer

A hand dryer apparatus includes: a casing having an air inlet port that admits air and a nozzle that discharges the air admitted through the air inlet port; a fan that is housed in the casing and generates an airflow directed from the air inlet port toward the nozzle; and an intake air pathway body placed in the casing and forming an intake air pathway extending from the air inlet port toward the fan. The casing includes a base supporting the fan and a cover having the air inlet port and removable from the base. The intake air pathway body is fixed on the cover.

Hand dryer apparatus

A hand drying apparatus includes a high-pressure airflow generator that takes air through an air inlet and generates a high-pressure airflow, a main body casing, a first air path that is protruded from the main body casing, and a nozzle that is located in a position ahead of the main body casing in a direction of the first air path. The main body casing includes a main-body air inlet through which outside air is taken and a second air path that causes air from the main-body air inlet to flow upward and then downward to a level where the air inlet of the high-pressure airflow generator is located.

Hand drying apparatus

In a hand drying apparatus, an infrared light absorber absorbs infrared light, when a hand is not present, emitted from an infrared light emitter provided on an inner surface of a drying space.

A hand inserting portion is opened at one surface of a casing or at both the one surface and other surface of the casing. The hand inserting portion includes a space in which hands can be accommodated. A high-pressure-airstream generating unit generates a high-speed airstream. A nozzle is provided on each of two opposing sides of the hand inserting portion, from which the high-speed airstream is jetted into the space of the hand inserting portion. The nozzle includes a hole array formed by arranging a plurality of nozzle holes in a row. Air volume of the high-speed airstream is larger at a central portion of the hole array than at other portions of the hole array.
