An electrophotosensitive material of the present invention is formed by providing a photosensitive layer containing a bis-azo pigment expressed in formula (1): ##STR1## wherein A.sup.1, A.sup.2, R.sup.1 and n are as defined, as a charge generating material, and a diamine compound expressed in formula (2): ##STR2## wherein R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 p and q k, l, m and o are as defined, as a charge-trasferring material, on a conductive substrate. As a charge generating material, a perylene pigment, anthanthrone pigment, X-type metal-free phthalocyanine pigment, imidazoleperylene pigment or perylene bis-azo pigment are preferable used together with the bis-azo pigment. Thus, photosensitive material is excellent in sensitivity and durability.

Electrophotosensitive material

In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a phenanthrylenediamine derivative represented by the general formula (1). The derivative is excellent in the electric charge transferring capability, the compatibility with a binding resin and the stability, thereby providing a photosensitive material which is highly sensitive and excellent in the durability. ##STR1## �wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 each represent a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group or an aryl group; and a, b, c and d each represent an integer from 0 to 5!.

Phenanthrylenediamine derivative

The present invention provides a novel naphthylenediamine derivative which is superior in electric charge transferring capability, compatibility with binding resin and stability, and an electrophotosensitive material which has a higher sensitivity and an excellent durability. The present invention provides a hydrazone compound represented by the following general formula (1). The present invention provides a hydrazone compound of the following general formula (I). This compound presents a higher hole mobility as compared with a conventional electric charge transferring material such as a conventional hydrazone compound or the like.
