A recording medium readable by a computer, tangibly embodying a program of instructions executable by the computer to modify a document including a plurality of areas, a part or all of the plurality of areas including identification, is provided. The program includes the steps of inputting the document, inputting an instruction to the plurality of areas specified by the identification, modifying the document according to the instruction inputted to the plurality of areas specified by the identification, and outputting the document. According to the program, documents slightly different from each other can be created dynamically and easily, by use of a single original document and instructions, and thus productivity of the documents increases.

A test support program to effectively and reliably check performance of functions which operate with other unspecified servers. A pair of a request message and a response message is stored as a message log. When a processing function based on a program under development being checked outputs a test request message, a computer selects a message log appropriate to the test request message as a template message under preset selection rules. The computer creates a test response message by editing the response message of the selected template message under preset editing rules. Then the computer sends the created test response message as a response to the test request message.

A source file analyzing method for specifying a class and its member influenced by a change made in a predetermined class included in a source file described in an object-oriented language. An inputter inputs a source file to be analyzed and provides it to a reference relationship examiner. The reference relationship examiner examines the reference relationships of classes and methods included in the classes, including class definitions, class member definition information regarding class member definitions, and class member content information regarding the contents of class members, creates reference relationship information indicating inheritance relationships among classes and class call relationships, and provides them to an influenced class specifier. The influenced class specifier accepts the name of a changed class entered and specifies an influenced class by referring to the class definition information, class member definition information, class member content information, and reference relationship information.

The business requirement handling apparatus is provided with a business requirement database accumulating and managing business requirements of businesses to be programmed depending on a substrate indicating predetermined data types and relations thereof, business requirement editing process device displaying business requirements on display unit to perform editing process and storing edited business requirements in business requirement database in units of individual data types, where each of business requirements are described in the form of a restricting expression which restricts input data if a processing content is formed of input items, described in the form of a calculation expression for obtaining output data if the processing content is formed of output items, and added with a conditional expression if a necessary condition exists, a contradiction detecting process device detecting existence of contradictions among the business requirements stored in business requirement database based on attributes including restricting expression, calculation expression or conditional expression annexed to items of business requirements, and notifying a user of content of contradiction when contradiction is detected, and a program synthesizing process device generating program parts from requirements of each item based on business requirements stored in business requirement database, and generating business program which is executable in a user environment by synthesizing the program parts with a given control logic.
