A vehicle () includes an electric drive motor (), an inverter () that provides a drive current to the electric motor () and a controller () that controls the inverter (). The controller () functions as a beat noise generation system that creates beat noise by generating a second operating noise containing a component an order of which is very close to a value representing an order of an operating noise generated in proportion to a rotation speed of the electric motor () so as to create desirable traveling noise corresponding to an accelerating state while the vehicle accelerates.

Operating noise control device and operating noise control method for vehicle

A vibration reducing device, including an inertial mass actuator adapted to be mounted on a vibration damping object, that applies a vibration damping force on the vibration damping object, the vibration damping force being a reactive force generated due to displacement of an inertial mass. A vibration state detector detects the vibration state of the inertial mass. A controller is connected to the inertial mass actuator and vibration state detector. The controller determines the displacement and velocity of the vibration damping object at a part where the inertial mass actuator is mounted, and the displacement and velocity of the inertial mass, based on the vibration state of the inertial mass. The vibration damping force is controlled based on the determined displacement and velocity of the vibration damping object at the part where the inertial mass actuator is mounted, and the displacement and velocity of the inertial mass.

Vibration reducing device and vibration reducing method

A controller () estimates an internal cylinder pressure of an engine () on the basis of the operating conditions of the engine (), torque variation in the engine () is calculated on the basis of the estimated internal cylinder pressure, and an opposite phase torque of the torque variation in the engine () is calculated as a torque correction amount. The controller () then calculates a torque command value for a motor generator () by adding the torque correction amount to a basic torque value for driving the motor generator () to rotate, and performs torque control such that the torque of the motor generator () equals the torque command value.

Engine vibration suppression device and suppression method thereof

A vibration reducing system for an automotive internal combustion engine vehicle. The vibration reducing system comprises an elastic member, and a rotating member driven through the elastic member by a rotating shaft of the engine. Here, the elastic member and the rotating member are arranged such that one of frequencies obtained by multiplying a rotational frequency of the rotating shaft of the engine which is operated idling engine operating condition by a value (a natural number/2) is within a range between a frequency of antiresonance for a rotational fluctuation of the rotating shaft of the engine which antiresonance is generated under a resonance generated by the elastic member and the rotating member and a frequency of antiresonance for roll vibration of the engine which antiresonance is generated under a resonance generated by the elastic member and the rotating member.

Vibration reducing system for internal combustion engine

A vibration reducing system of an internal combustion engine for an automotive vehicle. The vibration reducing system comprises a roll vibration system which generates a roll vibration of an engine main body, the roll vibration having a first vibration mode. Additionally, a rotational vibration system is provided to generate a rotational vibration having a second vibration mode, and includes a crankshaft of the engine, for generating a rotational driving force, a main flywheel fixedly connected to the crankshaft, a driving force transmitting mechanism through which the rotational driving force of the crankshaft is transmitted, the driving force transmitting mechanism being movably secured to the engine main body, and an inertial mass member drivably connected to the driving force transmitting mechanism and rotatable to generate an inertial force upon receiving the rotational driving force transmitted through the driving force transmitting mechanism. In the vibration reducing system, the first and second vibration modes cause antiresonance at an antiresonance frequency. Additionally, the rotational vibration system is adjusted to cause the antiresonance frequency to be generally coincident with one of frequencies which are obtained respectively by multiplying an engine-revolutional frequency at a predetermined engine speed by values each being represented by (a natural number/2).

A noise insulating wall structure includes tubular extensions which extend into a space defined between spaced insulating plates. The extensions formed on the lower of the two plates are formed with openings which allow water, which accidentally finds its way into the interior of the panel, to drain out and thus not effect the sound attenuating performance of panel. The drain openings have an area which is determined based on a ratio of the area of the opening to the total circumferential area (including the area of the opening) of the extension.
