The present invention provides pesticidal aerosol compositions and pesticidal methods. The pesticidal aerosol compositions comprise a propellant, 1-methyl-2-nitro-3-&lsqb;(3-tetrahydrofuryl)methyl&rsqb;guanidine and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, wherein a weight to weight ratio of said 1-methyl-2-nitro-3-&lsqb;(3-tetrahydrofuryl)methyl&rsqb;guanidine to said N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone is at a pesticidally synergistic weight to weight ratio. The pesticidal methods comprise applying to a pest or to a habitat of a pest, at least one the pesticidal aerosol compositions.

Provided are ectoparasite control compositions, a method of controlling an ectoparasite and uses of a composition for controlling an ectoparasite. A useful insecticidal aerosol composition contains 5-30% by weight of this pre-mix insecticidal composition, 40-85% by weight of water and 10-50% by weight of a propellant. The aerosol composition is stable, i.e. the separation into aqueous phase and organic phase occurs at a very low rate after shaking. A method for controlling harmful insects is also disclosed.

A composition comprising hydrotalcite-like compound intercalated with an organic anion such as organic sulfonic anions, sulfuric acid ester anions, phosphoric acid ester anions, carboxylic anions and N-acylamino acid anions and various active agents such as pesticidal active agents, for example an insecticide, a fungicide, a repellent, etc. and a perfume supported by said hydrotalcite-like compound, can release an active agent gradually over a long time while retaining the active agent stably for a long time, so that it has a long acting effect and can be used for various applications such as a pesticidal formulation.
