An electrostatic precipitator includes a collecting electrode provided along a gas flow direction, including a plurality of openings being formed in the collecting electrode, and a discharge electrode arranged in parallel with the collecting electrode. The discharge electrode includes a plurality of corona discharge portions for corona discharge, the plurality of corona discharge portions are continuously provided in the gas flow direction, and are protruding toward only one collecting electrode of the collecting electrodes that face each other. A plurality of collecting electrodes and a plurality of discharge electrodes are alternately arranged in a direction orthogonal to a gas flow direction. In each of the upstream region and the downstream region in the gas flow direction, all of the corona discharge portions protrude in the same direction.

Electrostatic precipitator

An electrostatic precipitator is provided capable of preventing a reduction in dust collection effect of ionic wind, and increasing dust collection efficiency. The electrostatic precipitator includes: a plurality of collecting electrodes () in the form of circular pipes arranged at predetermined intervals in a direction orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the electrodes; and a plurality of protrusions () protruding toward the collecting electrodes () and arranged offset in parallel with the orthogonal direction. An equivalent diameter of a cross section of the collecting electrode () is 30 mm to 80 mm. An opening ratio of the collecting electrodes () arranged at predetermined intervals is 10% to 70%.

Flue gas treatment system and method

A wet desulfurization apparatus which removes sulfur oxides in flue gas from a boilerincludes a mist collection/agglomeration apparatus which is provided on a downstream side of the desulfurization apparatus and forms agglomerated SOmist by causing particles of SOmist contained in flue gasB from the wet desulfurization apparatus to be bonded together and have bloated particle sizes; a COrecovery apparatus constituted by a COabsorption tower having a COabsorption unit which removes COcontained in flue gas by being brought into contact with a COabsorbent and an absorbent regeneration tower which recovers COby releasing COfrom the COabsorbent having absorbed COand regenerates the COabsorbent; and a mist collection unit which collects COabsorbent bloated mist bloated by the COabsorbent being absorbed by the agglomerated SOmist in the COabsorption unit.

A wet-type electric dust collection device and low-concentration SOmist containing, in which the wet-type electric dust collection device has an electrical field formation part in which a plurality of discharge electrodes are provided on opposing surfaces of a first electrode and second electrodes for forming a DC electrical field. The discharge electrodes of the first electrode and the discharge electrodes of the second electrodes generate corona discharges that are reversed in polarity relative to each other. The gas containing the SOmist and the dust is guided to the electrical field formation part without electrically charging the SOmist and the dust or spraying a dielectric in the gas, and while the gas flows between the electrodes, the corona discharges impart electric charges of alternately reversed polarity to the SOmist and the dust. The first electrode and the second electrodes collect the charged SOmist and dust.

Wet-type electric dust collection device and dust removal method

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a dust collector, an electrode selection method for a dust collector, and a dust collection method such that it is possible to select a suitable wire mesh to be used in a collecting electrode and thereby improve the collecting efficiency even at high flow velocities. A dust collector has a discharge electrode to which a voltage is applied, and a collecting electrode that is disposed facing the discharge electrode and has a planar member formed of a wire mesh, wherein the wire mesh of the planar member satisfies equations &#x3c;1&#x3e; and &#x3c;2&#x3e; below, and the gas face velocity (v) of the gas penetrating the wire mesh is v=0.1 m/s or higher. &#x3c;1&#x3e; IndexT=(the inter-wire distance&#xf7;2)&#xf7;the opening ratio&#xf7;the wire diameter&#xd7;the gas face velocity &#x3c;2&#x3e; IndexT&#x2266;2.

Dust collector, electrode selection method for dust collector, and dust collection method

An object is to provide an exhaust-gas treatment apparatus capable of realizing a dissolved-salt spray method easily and at low cost. An exhaust-gas treatment apparatus that removes SOand SOcontained in combustion exhaust gas includes a desulfurization apparatus based on the lime-gypsum method. Desulfurizing effluent, containing dissolved salt, from the desulfurization apparatus is sprayed to an upstream side of the desulfurization apparatus to remove SO. A wet electrical dust precipitator may be provided downstream of the desulfurization apparatus. Furthermore, effluent from the wet electrical dust precipitator may be made to merge with the desulfurizing effluent from the desulfurization apparatus.

Exhaust-gas treatment apparatus and exhaust-gas treatment method

This gas turbine includes a turbine cooling structure of cooling a turbine by using cooling air and a filter that reduces dust in the cooling air on an upstream side of the turbine. Furthermore, the gas turbine includes a supply pipe for supplying the cooling air to the filter, a branch pipe that is branched from the supply pipe on an upstream of the filter, and a unit that calculates or estimates a circulation amount of dust in the cooling air. In this gas turbine, at a time of start-up of a turbine, the supply pipe is closed and the branch pipe is opened, and when the circulation amount of dust in the cooling air becomes equal to or less than a predetermined threshold, the supply pipe is opened and the branch pipe is closed.

In an exhaust gas treatment system including a denitration device that removes nitrogen oxide in exhaust gas from a heavy fuel-fired boiler, an air preheater that recovers heat in the gas after the nitrogen oxide is removed, an electric precipitator that removes dust while adding ammonia into the gas after heat recovery, a desulfurization device that removes sulfur oxide in the gas after dust removal, and a stack that exhausts the gas after desulfurization to the outside, an ash-shear-force measuring instrument is provided to measure an ash shear force, which is ash flowability, on the downstream side of the electric precipitator, so that a feed rate of an air supply unit that supplies air to the boiler is reduced according to ash shear-force information.

An apparatus, which collects particulate matter contained in a gas flowing through a flow path formed in a cylindrical shape having an outer surface and an inner surface, includes: an outer shell that forms the outer surface of the flow path; a ground electrode that forms the inner surface of the flow path; a filter layer that is arranged between the outer shell and the ground electrode; and a discharge electrode that generates, when a voltage is applied, an ion wind inducing a secondary flow toward the ground electrode in a direction transverse to the flow path. Dust collector

A dust collector for collecting dust, in which the rarefaction of a dielectric at the rear part of electric field forming apparatus is prevented, whereby the collecting efficiency can be increased. The dust collector includes a charging device for charging a substance to be collected, such as dust and mist, contained in a gas; a sprayer device for spraying a dielectric on the substance to be collected which is charged by the charging device; an electric field forming device, having first and second electrodes and which form a direct current electric field and dielectrically polarize the dielectric sprayed by the spray device; and a dielectric collecting device for collecting the dielectric which has arrested the substance to be collected. A dust collector efficiently collects dust, especially fine dust (submicron particles). The dust collector, which removes dust and/or mist contained in a gas, includes a charger for charging the dust and/or mist contained in a gas, a sprayer for spraying the charged dust or charged mist or spraying a dielectric material to the charged dust or mist, an electric field former for forming an electric field for subjecting the dielectric material to dielectric polarization, and a collector for collecting the dielectric material which has arrested the charged dust and/or the charged mist.

A pulse charging apparatus includes a DC high-voltage generator, a capacitor that is charged by a DC high voltage output from the DC high-voltage generator, a switching unit for switching charges stored on the capacitor to provide a pulse-like high voltage to a load, and a control unit for controlling the operation of the switching unit. The switching unit consists of a series combination of an electron tube and a stationary gap. The control unit controls the operation of the electron tube.
