A self-propelled, dust-collecting robot includes a main-body part including a dust collection box, and a first battery pack, which has a case, at least one battery cell in the case, a control circuit board having a controller mounted in the case, and a discharge terminal. The main body part includes a first battery pack mount having a connector to which the first battery pack is removably connectable. The first battery pack is configured for use in an electric power tool.

An electric motor serving as a drive source of a dust collection mechanismis arranged such that a motor axis line of the electric motor is tilted with respect to a base portion of a main body case. Because of this configuration, a main body is made to be compact in the front-to-rear direction, in comparison to a configuration where the motor axis line of the electric motor is disposed parallel to the base portion.

A self-propelled dust-collecting robot includes a main body having wheels, a dust-collecting unit collecting dust on a floor surface, infrared sensors each including an infrared transmission element that emits infrared light toward the floor surface and an infrared reception element that receives the infrared light reflected at the floor surface, and a controller controlling the wheels on the basis of a reflectance of the infrared light obtained from each infrared sensor. The controller, during running, determines whether the reflectance is higher than or equal to a predetermined threshold value. Upon determining that the reflectance is higher than or equal to the threshold value, the controller controls the wheels to perform an avoidance action with the position where the reflectance is detected being a virtual wall, thereby to control the self-propelled dust-collecting robot to perform cleaning within a cleaning range defined by a reflection member.

A self-propelled, dust-collecting robot includes a chassis, an electric motor supported by the chassis, and first and second rechargeable battery packs disposed inside the chassis for supplying current to the electric motor. First and second castors are respectively disposed immediately underneath the first and second battery packs. Each of the battery packs has a pair of rails that respectively slide into and engage with complementary guide rails coupled to the chassis. A dust-collection box is removably disposed within the chassis. A dust-collection motor rotates a suction fan that is in fluid communication with the dust-collection box. At least one rotatable brush sweeps dust towards a suction port in fluid communication with the dust-collection box.

A working tool in which a tip tool with a longitudinal shaft is linearly moved, wherein a motor and other tool constituting members are effectively cooled. In order to cool the inside of a motor-driven hammer comprising a main body, a motor, and a motion converter, the hammer is provided with a first cooling air passage through which a cooling air is supplied to the motor, and a second cooling air passage through which a cooling air is supplied to a hammer portion. To generate a cooling air to be supplied to the first and second cooling air passages, a cooling fan is provided at a lower portion of an output shaft of the motor and a hammer portion cooling fan is provided between the output shaft of the motor and the motion converter.

Power tool

A hammer drill having a clutch pin and a clutch mechanism is provided. By switching the clutch mechanism, a selection can be made between a hammer drill mode and a hammer mode. The clutch pin is configured to be slidable to a sliding position where the clutch pin runs through the reduction shaft so as to be capable of protruding beyond the reduction shaft, and at the sliding position, the clutch pin engages with an engagement hole provided on the tool holder side so that a rotation of the tool holder can be locked, whereby in the hammer mode, a selection can be further made between a neutral state where the clutch pin does not engage with the engagement hole and a rotation locked state where the clutch pin engages with the engagement hole.

Hammer drill

A handle for a tool includes a handle body, an operation device and a pair of clamp halves. The operation device has an operation member operable by an operator. At least one of the clamp halves can move relative to the handle body along an axis. As the operation member is operated, the one of the handle halves moves along the axis, so that the distance between the handle halves can be changed for clamping or releasing a portion of the tool.

A hammer drill has an aluminum cylinder non-rotatably mounted in a crank housing, a synthetic resin slide sleeve, and a tool holder. The latter two members are coaxially fitted over the front part of the cylinder. The slide sleeve is a cylindrical member slidably mounted between a large bore portion of the tool holder and the cylinder. A steel ring is mounted at the rear of the slide sleeve. The slide sleeve and the steel ring are urged in the forward direction by a compression spring interposed between a bevel gear and the steel ring. A first air chamber which is formed in the cylinder includes a plurality of air ports which are covered by the steel ring when the slide sleeve and steel ring are pushed in their respective rear positions by pressing a tool bit attached to the hammer against a work piece. A plurality of wide and narrow slits are formed in the front portion of the slide sleeve while a plurality of air passage holes are also formed in the large bore portion of the tool holder.
