A printing device includes a main body, and a cassette attached to and detached from the main body. A locating shaft is provided on a back surface of the cassette. A ball that can protrude toward an outer side is provided in the locating shaft. A cylindrical guide body is provided at a position facing the locating shaft on a front surface of the main body. The cylindrical guide body guides and locates the locating shaft to a predetermined position on a side of the main body along an axis direction. When the locating shaft is located at the predetermined position, the ball engages with an engaged hole provided in the cylindrical guide body. The locating shaft is locked to the cylindrical guide body. A release button is pressed down by a user to release locking performed by the ball.

Printing device

A printing device includes a thermal head, a rotation shaft extending in an axial direction and rotatably supported, a pivot member connected to the rotation shaft and configured to pivot integrally with the rotation shaft about the rotation shaft, a biasing unit configured to bias the thermal head upward, a first pivot shaft supported by the pivot member, extending parallel to the axial direction, located below the rotation shaft, and configured to pivot integrally with the pivot member about the rotation shaft, a support member supported by the first pivot shaft to be movable along the first pivot shaft and to be pivotable about the first pivot shaft, the support member including a lower end portion located below the rotation shaft, and a pressing portion provided on the lower end portion of the support member and configured to press the thermal head downward.

There is provided a printing apparatus, including: a base; a thermal head including heating elements arranged in a first direction; a first engagement member; a second engagement member configured to engage with the first engagement member such that the thermal head pivotally moves, relative to the base, around a first axis extending in a second direction intersecting with the first direction; a head holding member being slidable with respect to the base in a third direction intersecting with the first direction and the second direction and holding the thermal head such that the heating elements face the third direction; a first magnetic member positioned on a first side in the first direction relative to the first engagement member; a second magnetic member positioned on the first side in the first direction relative to the second engagement member; and a head pressing member facing the head holding member from a first side in the third direction.

Printing apparatus

There is provided a printing apparatus including: a thermal head having a plurality of heating elements arranged in a first direction; a first engaging member; a head holder having a second engaging member which is configured to engage with the first engaging member so that the thermal head is rotatable about a first axis line extending in the second direction, the head holder holding the thermal head in a posture in which the plurality of heating elements are oriented in a third direction; a pair of urging members each having an end projecting toward the thermal head; a contacting member with which the end of each of the pair of urging members is brought into contact; and a locking part which locks the end of each of the pair of urging members.

A print device includes a first print portion, a first discharge portion, a second print portion, a second discharge portion, and a user interface portion. The first discharge portion is configured to discharge a first medium printed by the first print portion. The second discharge portion is configured to discharge a second medium printed by the second print portion. The user interface portion is disposed on a front side portion of the print device. A main scanning direction of the first print portion and a main scanning direction of the second print portion are substantially parallel to an up-down direction. A length in the up-down direction of the second print portion is shorter than a length in the up-down direction of the first print portion. The second print portion is disposed to the front of the first print portion.

Print device

There is provided a printing apparatus including: a base; a thermal head; a first motor; a second motor; a head holding member holding the thermal head; a first pivoting member and a second pivoting member pivotally supported by the base; a guide rail extending in a second direction and connected to a first end of the first pivoting member on a first side in a first direction and to a second end of the second pivoting member on the first side in the first direction; a head pressing member which is in contact with the guide rail to be slidable in the second direction and facing the thermal head from a first side in a third direction; and a movement mechanism configured to move the head holding member in the second direction through driving of the second motor.

A cutting device includes a cutting blade, a receiving block, a motor, a cutting blade movement mechanism, and a receiving block movement mechanism. The cutting blade includes a blade portion. The receiving block includes a contact surface including a first contact surface and a second contact surface. The motor is configured to rotate. The cutting blade movement mechanism supports the cutting blade and is configured to move the cutting blade between a separated position and a contact position in concert with a rotation of the motor. The receiving block movement mechanism is configured to move the receiving block from a first opposed position to a second opposed position in concert with the rotation of the motor.

Cutting device

A print device includes a first print portion, a first discharge portion, a second print portion, and a second discharge portion. The first discharge portion is configured to discharge a first medium printed by the first print portion in a first direction toward the outside of the print device. The second discharge portion is configured to discharge a second medium printed by the second print portion in a second direction toward the outside of the print device. The first discharge portion and the second discharge portion are configured to respectively discharge the first medium and the second medium to the outside of the print device from discharge positions that do not overlap with each other in an up-down direction. The first direction and the second direction are directions that separate from each other.

A cutting device includes a cutting blade, a receiving block, a motor, a cutting blade movement mechanism, and a receiving block movement mechanism. The cutting blade includes a blade portion. The receiving block includes a contact surface including a first contact surface and a second contact surface. The motor is configured to rotate in a forward direction and a reverse direction. The cutting blade movement mechanism supports the cutting blade and is configured to move the cutting blade between a separated position and a contact position in concert with a rotation of the motor when the motor rotates in a forward direction and when the motor rotates in a reverse direction. The receiving block movement mechanism is configured to move the receiving block from a first opposed position to a second opposed position in concert with the rotation of the motor.

A print device includes a tape mounting portion, a tape print portion, a tape discharge portion, a tube mounting portion, a ribbon mounting portion, a tube print portion, and a tube discharge portion. The tape mounting portion is configured such that a tape is detachably mounted in the tape mounting portion. The tube mounting portion is configured such that a tube is detachably mounted in the tube mounting portion along a predetermined direction. The ribbon mounting portion is configured such that an ink ribbon is detachably mounted in the ribbon mounting portion. The tape mounting portion and the ribbon mounting portion are disposed on a same side with respect to the tube mounting portion, and are disposed side by side along the predetermined direction.

A cutting device includes a receiving block configured such that an object to be cut is arranged thereon, a cutting blade that includes a blade portion, the cutting blade being configured to move between a separated position and a contact position via a clamping position, a first rotating member coupled with the cutting blade, the first rotating member being configured to cause the cutting blade to move from the separated position to the contact position via the clamping position, by the first rotating member rotating in a specified direction from a separated rotation position to a contact rotation position via a clamping rotation position, an elastic member provided on the first rotating member, a DC motor, and a second rotating member configured to rotate in accordance with rotation of the DC motor.

A second roller is configured to move between a clamping position and a released position and to rotate in a forward rotation direction and a reverse rotation direction. An energizing portion is configured to move between a contact position and a separated position. A coupled portion protrudes from the second roller. A restricting portion is configured to move between a restricting position and a permitting position. A actuating portion is configured to cause the second roller to move from the released position to the clamping position, then to cause the energizing portion to move from the separated position to the contact position, and then to cause the restricting portion to move from the restricting position to the permitting position. A clutch is configured to permit the second roller to rotate in the forward rotation direction and to restrict the second roller from rotating in the reverse rotation direction.

Feed device and printer

A storage container includes a main body and a cover. The main body includes a first recessed portion and an outer edge portion. The first recessed portion has an opening portion and is bounded by a first bottom surface portion and a first peripheral wall portion including a first wall portion. The outer edge portion protrudes further than the first wall portion on an outer periphery side of the storage container with respect to the first wall portion. The first wall portion has a groove portion and at least one first hole portion. The groove portion is formed on a protruding end portion of the first wall portion in a position separated from an edge of the first recessed portion toward the outer edge portion. The at least one hole portion opens onto the protruding end portion, communicates with the groove portion and is separated from the first recessed portion.

Storage container

A method for controlling a printing speed of a thermal head having a plurality of heater elements arranged in a line includes: dividing a set of printing data into blocks each comprising one or more printing lines aligned in a main scanning direction, in which the dividing is in a sub scanning direction, and in which a block including a first predetermined number of printing lines is regarded as a unit block; calculating the number of the heater elements to be driven for each of printing lines included in a block as the number of on-dots, and comparing the numbers of on-dots for the block to obtain a maximum number of on-dots for the block; and setting a printing speed for one block to be slower than a printing speed for another block with smaller maximum number of on-dots than maximum number of on-dots for the one block.
