A battery case and method of production of the same realizing smaller size, higher mountability, longer service life, and lower cost than in the past, that is, a battery case comprising a container body and a container cover, in which battery case, one or both of the container body and the container cover are made from a laminated steel sheet comprised of a plated steel sheet on which a film having a polyolefin-based resin as a main constituent is laminated, a joined part of the container body and the container cover has a welded part of the plated steel sheet, a melt bonded part of the film, and a gap part between the welded part and the melt bonded part, where a length of gap part/thickness of plated steel sheet ≤10.0 and a length of gap part/length of joined part <0.50, and at least part of the inside surface of the battery case is covered by the film, and a method of production of the same.

Battery case and method of production of same

This metallic coated steel includes a steel material and a metallic coating layer. The metallic coating layer has an average chemical composition including Al: 0.2% to less than 4.0%, Mg: more than 4.0% and less than 12.5%, Ca: 0.15% to less than 3.00%, Zn: 65% or more, and impurities. In an any perpendicular cross section (in a thickness direction) in the metallic coating layer, a metallurgical structure observed in a scanning electron microscope observed visual field contains, in terms of area fraction, an MgZnphase: 10 to 40%, an Al—Zn phase: 0 to 15%, an Al phase: (Zn<10%): 0 to 5%, a CaZnphase: 1.0 to 15%, and a total of a [ternary eutectic structure of Al/MgZn/Zn] and a [binary eutectic structure of MgZn/Zn]: 30% or more.

Metallic coated steel

A hot-dip plated steel material has a plating layer on a surface of a steel material, in which the plating layer contains Al: more than 22.5% and 50.0% or less, Mg: more than 3.0% and 15.0% or less, Ca: 0.03 to 0.6%, Si: 0.03 to 1.0%, Fe: 2 to 25%, and a remainder consisting of Zn and impurities, and, in an X-ray diffraction pattern of a surface of the plating layer, measured under conditions in which an X-ray output is a voltage of 50 kV and a current of 300 mA using a Cu-Kα ray, Iobtained from an X-ray diffraction peak of AlFeis 1.1 or more, and Iobtained from X-ray diffraction peaks of Zn, Al, and MgZnis 0.25 or less.

Hot-dip plated steel material

A surface-treated steel sheet of the present disclosure includes a steel sheet, and an alloy layer containing Ni and Co on a surface of the steel sheet. A surface roughness Ra1 of the surface of the alloy layer over a sampling length of 5.0 mm in the width direction of the steel sheet is 2.0 μm or less. Ra2 that denotes the arithmetic mean height of a roughness curve of the surface of the alloy layer over a sampling length of 10 μm in the width direction of the steel sheet is 20 nm or less, and RSm that denotes the mean length of roughness curve elements over the sampling length of 10 μm in the width direction of the steel sheet is 700 nm or more, Ra2 and RSm being measured using an atomic force microscope.

Surface-treated steel sheet

The surface-treated steel sheet includes an alloy layer containing Ni and Co. In a case where, in a cross section obtained by cutting the alloy layer in the thickness direction, a range having a width of 2000 nm and extending from the surface of the alloy layer to a depth of 100 nm is partitioned into regions each having a width of 100 nm and a depth of 100 nm, within the range the alloy layer includes a plurality of high Co concentration regions in each of which the ratio of a Co concentration to a sum of the Co concentration and a Ni concentration within the partitioned region is 0.8 or more, and a plurality of alloyed regions in each of which a ratio of the Co concentration to a sum of the Co concentration and the Ni concentration within the partitioned region is less than 0.8.

A plated steel sheet comprises a plated layer on a surface of a steel sheet, in which in the plated layer, the total amount ΣA of Sn, Bi, and In is less than 0.75%, the total amount ΣB of Ca, Y, La, and Ce is 0.03 to 0.60%, the total amount ΣC of Cr, Ti, Ni, Co, V, Nb, Cu, and Mn is 0 to 1.00%, Sn≤Si, and 20.0≤Mg/Si are satisfied, and in an X-ray diffraction pattern of a surface of the plated layer, an X-ray diffraction peak of AlZnCa, an X-ray diffraction peak of CaZn, and an X-ray diffraction peak of η'-MgZnsatisfy a predetermined relationship.

Plated steel sheet

A surface-treated steel sheet includes a steel sheet, and an Ni—Co—Fe alloy layer containing Ni, Co, and Fe on the steel sheet surface. In the thickness direction of the Ni—Co—Fe alloy layer, a Co concentration in the Ni—Co—Fe alloy layer is highest at a position which is on an outermost surface side of the Ni—Co—Fe alloy layer relative to a position where the Ni concentration is highest in the Ni—Co—Fe alloy layer, and which is between the outermost surface of the Ni—Co—Fe alloy layer and a depth of 100 nm from the outermost surface. In the Ni—Co—Fe alloy layer, an Ni-concentrated region in which the Ni concentration increases toward the outermost surface of the Ni—Co—Fe alloy layer is formed between the outermost surface of the Ni—Co—Fe alloy layer and the position where the Co concentration is highest.

A Ni-plated steel sheet includes a base steel sheet and a Ni-based coating layer that is disposed on a surface of the base steel sheet. The distribution of carbon concentration in a depth direction obtained by performing GDS analysis on the Ni-plated steel sheet has a peak indicating the carbon concentration that is equal to or more than twice the carbon concentration of a thickness middle portion of the base steel sheet in the vicinity of an interface between the base steel sheet and the Ni-based coating layer.

Ni-plated steel sheet, and method for manufacturing Ni-plated steel sheet

A plated steel material having a plating layer having an average chemical composition containing, in mass %, Zn: more than 50.00%, Al: more than 15.0% and less than 30.0%, Mg: more than 5.0% and less than 15.0%, and Si: 0.25% or more and less than 3.50%, and impurities, and wherein a total amount (ΣA) of at least one selected from the group consisting of Sn, Bi and In is less than 1.00%, a total amount (ΣB) of at least one selected from the group consisting of Ca, Y, La, Ce and Sr is 0.02% or more and less than 0.60%, 2.0≤SMg/Si<20.0 (Formula 1), 3.0≤Si/ΣB<24.0 (Formula 2), and 26.0≤(Si/ΣB)×(Mg/Si)<375.0 (Formula 3) are satisfied, and in an X-ray diffraction pattern of the surface of the plating layer, a diffraction intensity ratio R1 defined by R1={I(16.18°)+I(32.69°)}/I(27.0°) (Formula 4) satisfies 2.5<R1 (Formula 5) is used.

Plated steel material

A Ni diffusion-plated steel sheet of the present invention includes a base steel sheet and a Fe—Ni diffusion alloy-plating layer positioned on at least one surface of the base steel sheet, an Ni coating weight of the Fe—Ni diffusion alloy-plating layer is 9.0 to 20 g/m, a Fe concentration Cs of an outermost layer of the Fe—Ni diffusion alloy-plating layer is 10 to 55 mass %, the base steel sheet has a predetermined chemical composition, and a ferrite grain size number specified by JIS G 0551 (2013) of the base steel sheet is 11.0 or more.

Ni diffusion-plated steel sheet and method for manufacturing Ni diffusion-plated steel sheet

A novel battery container that can be obtained by welding plated steel sheets, has sufficient sealing ability over a long period of time, and is able to keep the base material of the plated steel sheets from being exposed and eluting into the electrolyte solution is provided. That is, a battery case comprised of a container body and a container lid, wherein the container body and the container lid are each comprised of a plated steel sheet, a joint part between the container and the container lid is comprised of a plating welded part containing a main constituent component of the plating of the plated steel sheet in 60 mass % or more and a steel sheet welded part containing the main constituent component of the plating in less than 60 mass %, and the plating welded part has a length of 0.5 μm or more and less than 1.0 mm in a joint longitudinal direction.

Battery case

A Ni-plated steel sheet according to one aspect of the present invention includes a base steel sheet; and a Ni plating layer provided on a surface of the base steel sheet, wherein the Ni plating layer includes a Ni—Fe alloy layer formed on the surface of the base steel sheet, and a ratio of a Sn content to a Ni content in the Ni plating layer is 0.0005% to 0.10%.

Ni-plated steel sheet and manufacturing method thereof

A Ni-plated steel sheet according to one aspect of the present invention includes a base steel sheet and a Ni plating layer provided on a surface of the base steel sheet, the Ni plating layer has a Ni—Fe alloy layer formed on a surface of the base steel sheet, and a ratio of a Zn content to a Ni content in the Ni plating layer is 0.0005% to 0.10%. A manufacturing method of the Ni-plated steel sheet according to one aspect of the present invention has electroplating a base steel sheet using a Ni plating bath in which [Zn]/[Ni] is set to 0.0005% to 0.10% to obtain a material Ni-plated steel sheet, and annealing the material Ni-plated steel sheet.

A surface-treated metal material includes a metal sheet, a plating layer formed on the metal sheet and containing aluminum, magnesium, and zinc, and a composite coating formed on a surface of the plating layer, the composite coating including an organic silicon compound, one or two of a zirconium compound and a titanium compound, a phosphoric acid compound, a fluorine compound, and a vanadium compound, wherein, when a surface of the composite coating is analyzed at a spot size of φ30 μm using micro-fluorescent X-rays, a maximum value of V/Zn, which is a mass ratio of a V content to a Zn content, is 0.010 to 0.100.
