An image-forming device includes: a casing; an image-forming section including a plurality of image-forming units; a paper supply unit; and a discharge unit. The plurality of image-forming units are arranged substantially vertically within the casing when the casing is disposed in an orientation in which it is intended to be used, each image-forming unit forming an image in a corresponding color. The paper supply unit is disposed above the image-forming units when the casing is disposed in the orientation in which it is intended to be used. The paper supply unit is configured to accommodate a recording medium substantially in a vertical orientation and to supply the recording medium to the image-forming section. The discharge unit is disposed above the image-forming units when the casing is disposed in the orientation in which it is intended to be used. The discharge unit is configured to receive the recording medium discharged from the image-forming section substantially in a vertical orientation.

Image-forming device and cover member therefor

An ink ribbon cartridge including a frame, supply shaft supporting members and take-up shaft supporting members is provided. The supply shaft supporting members support a supply shaft, and the take-up shaft supporting members support a take-up shaft. The frame includes a first bearing member, a second bearing member, a front connecting member, which connects front ends of the first and second bearing members together, and a back connecting member connects back ends of the first and second bearing members together. At least one of the front connecting member and the back connecting member has one of a groove or a hole capable of accommodating a portion of an image forming device in which the ink ribbon cartridge may be installed.

Image-forming device including image-forming section, paper supply unit, and discharge unit and ornamental member therefor

A refill unit that includes a case, a door, a locking member and an unlocking member. The locking member slides between a protruded position and a retracted position and is engageable with the case at an intermediate position between the protruded position and the retracted position to lock the door in a closed position. the locking member is displaced toward the retracted position to release the engagement. The unlocking member is turnably supported on the door and is capable of moving, when the door is in the closed position, between a neutral position and a housed position. The unlocking member is displaced from the neutral position to a fallen position to displace the locking member from the intermediate position to the retracted position.

Refill unit

An image-forming device has a main casing, a cartridge, and a guiding unit. The main casing has a cartridge access opening and a cartridge loading section in communication with the cartridge access opening. The cartridge access opening has an opening plane. The cartridge is detachably counted in the cartridge loading section through the cartridge access opening. The guiding unit provides a loading path to load/unload the cartridge with respect to the cartridge loading section. The guide unit is configured to orient the loading path toward a direction substantially parallel to the opening plane outside of the main casing, thereby curving a track of the cartridge.
