A position detection system includes: two magnet rows including a plurality of magnets arrayed cyclically and repeatedly with an array pattern as one cycle in a detection direction, a magnet in the magnet row and a magnet in the magnet row facing each other at surfaces having different polarities at a specific position in the detection direction; a magnetic sensor disposed between the two magnet rows, a relative position of the magnetic sensor relative to the two magnet rows in the X-axis direction being variable; and a determiner that determines a position of the magnetic sensor in an predetermined direction relative to the two magnet rows based on a detection value of the magnetic sensor.

Position detection system and travel system

A moving body includes: a plurality of linear motors including a first linear motor driven by magnetic interaction with magnetic flux of a magnetic pole path; a position detection sensor configured to detect a position of the moving body; a first electrical angle detection sensor disposed at a position different from the position detection sensor in a path direction of the magnetic pole path and configured to detect an electrical angle of the first linear motor; and a control unit configured to, when one of the position detection sensor and the first electrical angle detection sensor is positioned at a magnetic pole absent section, use the other of the position detection sensor and the first electrical angle detection sensor both to detect a position of the moving body and to detect an electrical angle of the first linear motor.

A linear motor system that includes a field system in which magnets are arrayed such that polarities are alternately different, armatures, a magnetic detector which includes first, second and third hall elements, and in which an electrical angle phase of the third hall element is shifted from that of the first hall element by 90&#xb0; and an electrical angle phase of the second hall element is shifted from that of the first hall element by 180&#xb0;, and a calculator which calculates a first electrical angle from outputs of the first and the third hall elements, calculates a second electrical angle from outputs of the second and the third hall elements, and calculates an estimated value of an electrical angle by weighting is provided. An electrical angle with a larger amplitude between the first and the second electrical angles is multiplied by a relatively larger coefficient value.

Linear motor system, movable body system and electrical angle estimating method

In order to prevent the length of the movement path from being limited to the pitch of a magnet, a moving body (vehicle) includes two motors disposed in different positions in the moving direction. When one of the two motors is located in an irregular section in which the poles of magnets are not disposed regularly, a motor other than the one motor is located in a section which is not the irregular section.

Moving body system and method for driving moving body

A moving body includes a first position detector configured to detect a position of the moving body by detecting poles of magnets and a second position detector disposed in a different position from a position of the first position detector in a moving direction of the moving body, and configured to detect the position of the moving body. A controller of the moving body determines the position of the moving body on a basis of a position detected by the second position detector when the first position detector is located in an irregular section in which the poles of the magnets are not disposed regularly.

Position detection device to determine a moving distance of a moving body

A mobile body of one embodiment moves along a magnetic pole path including a magnetic pole missing section, and includes a first linear motor, a drive information acquiring unit, a drive command unit, a monitor, and a determination unit. The drive information acquiring unit acquires, in real time, drive information of the first linear motor being driven toward a target position. The drive command unit repeatedly provides, to the first linear motor side, command information for moving the mobile body toward the target position based on the drive information acquired each time by the drive information acquiring unit. The monitor monitors the command information or the drive information. The determination unit determines whether or not the first linear motor is located in the magnetic pole missing section based on the command information or the drive information monitored by the monitor.

Mobile body and mobile body system

A mobile body moves along a magnetic pole path. The magnetic pole path includes a first magnetic pole section and a second magnetic pole section. The mobile body includes a detector, a rate changing unit, and a position specifying unit. The detector detects a phase angle in accordance with a magnetic flux of the magnetic pole path. The rate changing unit changes a position conversion rate obtained by associating a phase angle of the magnetic pole path with a position of the magnetic pole path based on the phase angle detected by the detector. The position specifying unit specifies a position of the mobile body along the magnetic pole path based on the phase angle detected by the detector and the position conversion rate changed by the rate changing unit.
