A vehicular static eliminating device includes: a negative ion generating device; and a guide device configured to guide negative ions and release the negative ions from an emission port to a static elimination target spot which is positively charged, the guide device including: a guide member defining a passage through which to guide the negative ions, the guide member being made of a resin which is easily negatively charged in a triboelectric series; and a tip-shaped part configured to discharge, by corona discharge, negative electric charges, which have accumulated on the guide member, to the static elimination target spot, the tip-shaped part being provided in a part defining the emission port and in proximity to the static elimination target spot.

Vehicular static eliminating device and vehicle

Provided is a compact ion generator. A control substrate () and an ion generating section () are provided concentrically around a motor () without overlapping each other, which motor () is configured to cause a fan () to rotate. The fan () is configured to send, more outwards than a radial direction, air sucked in from a side of a first direction which is along a rotational axis direction. A fan cover () has (i) a first air flow path () configured to guide, in the radial direction, the air sent by the fan () and (ii) a second air flow path () configured to cause the air, which has been guided by the first air flow path () to flow in the radial direction, to be sent towards the side of the first direction. The ion generating section () constitutes a part of a wall of the first air flow path ().

Ion generator

Two flow passages are provided for allowing the passage of air sent out from a blower in the same direction individually and discharging the air to outside. An ion generation unit for generating positive ions by only corona discharge is arranged at one flow passage, and an ion generation unit for generating electrostatic atomized water particles with negative polarity by electrostatic atomizing phenomenon is arranged at the other flow passage. A throttle is provided at the one flow passage for making the wind speed of air flowing through the one flow passage faster than the wind speed of air flowing through the other flow passage. Since positive ions having shorter lifetime are emitted more than electrostatic atomized water particles with negative polarity having longer lifetime, the balance between positive and negative polarities in the air can be sustained over a long period of time.

An ion generating unit includes: a box-like housing with its one face open, an ion generating part provided with electrode parts and generating positive and negative ions; an ion sensor; a lid covering the housing in a removable manner while the ion generating unit is accommodated in the housing; a cover covering the housing in such a manner that cannot be easily removed while the ion sensor is accommodated in the housing; a connector provided at one end of the housing for mechanically and electrically connecting the ion generating unit; and a screw part provided at the other end of the housing for securing the ion generating unit to the casing.

Ion generating unit and electric device

In an ion generating unit configured to control driving of a plurality of ion generating elements for generating ions by a controller, the controller drives the ion generating elements upon start up, and is configured to keep driving for a predetermined time period; thereby, the ion concentration of a space upon start up is quickly raised to a predetermined concentration. Further, the controller is configured to drive the ion generating elements intermittently and one after another in order after the predetermined time period has elapsed; the product life is elongated while maintaining the predetermined ion concentration and shortening the driving time of the ion generating elements.
