A water treatment apparatus includes: a plurality of plate-shaped ground electrodes; a high-voltage electrode unit having counter electrode portions opposing the ground electrodes, support portions supporting the counter electrode portions, and a voltage receiving portion for receiving a high voltage; a water supply unit for supplying to-be-treated water to between the ground electrodes from above, insulating members each having a lower end portion fixed to a support structure fixing lower end portions of the ground electrodes, and an upper end portion connected to the voltage receiving portion of the high-voltage electrode unit. The lower ends of the support portions of the high-voltage electrode unit are held in a space between the ground electrodes, and a portion where each insulating member and the high-voltage electrode unit are connected to each other is located above the water supply unit, so that electric leak due to the to-be-treated water is inhibited.

Water treatment apparatus

A water treatment apparatus includes: a treatment tank, having therein a grounded electrode and a high-voltage electrode opposing the grounded electrode, for generating electric discharge between both the electrodes, and causing to-be-treated water to pass between the electrodes and contact with the electric discharge to perform water treatment, an ozone mixing portion for supplying ozone-containing gas in the treatment tank through a gas sending portion to the to-be-treated water supplied from outside, and a gas returning portion for sending gas in the ozone mixing portion to the treatment tank, are provided, and water treatment is performed by ozone in the ozone mixing portion, and water treatment is thereafter performed by the electric discharge in the treatment tank.

Water treatment apparatus and water treatment method

A water treatment device includes, between at least two flat sheet-shaped grounded electrodes vertically disposed so as to be parallel to each other, a sheet-shaped high-voltage electrode having two edges opposing the respective grounded electrodes. The sheet-shaped high-voltage electrode is supported by a plurality of support members, and thus deformation of the high-voltage electrode in an up/down direction and a horizontal direction is suppressed, and the distance between each edge of the high-voltage electrode and the corresponding grounded electrode, i.e., an electric discharge gap length, can be kept even. Accordingly, uniform electric discharge can be maintained between the high-voltage electrode and the grounded electrode, whereby highly efficient water treatment can be realized.

A humidifier includes: a electrode; a water absorbing humidification member configured to serve as a counter electrode for the electrode; a power supply for applying a voltage to the electrode; a water supply unit for supplying humidification water to the water absorbing humidification member; and a blower for causing air to flow through an air passage formed in a space between the electrode and the water absorbing humidification member, the electrode being configured to generate, by receiving a voltage applied thereto, ion wind flowing from the electrode to a direction normal to a surface of the water absorbing humidification member, and the ion wind is caused to impinge on the water absorbing humidification member to humidify the air in the air passage.

Humidifier and air-conditioning apparatus including humidifier

When mineral components such as calcium carbonate and magnesium are contained in humidifying water and a humidification plate has holes and high humidifying efficiency, scales may be locally generated at an end or vicinities of the holes on a windward side. When minute voids in the humidification plate are clogged due to the scales, water absorption capability at a scale generation region is significantly reduced. A problem can arise requiring to replace the humidification plate even when a region other than the end and the vicinities of the holes is satisfactory, whereby replacement cycles are shortened. To address the problem, plural openings in a plate thickness direction are distributed on a flat plate surface of a water absorbing humidifying material. Thus, in an airflow direction of air sent from end sides of the water absorbing humidifying material, opening areas of the plural openings on one end side are increased.

Humidifier and air-conditioning apparatus

One of the purposes is to provide a pulse discharge power supply for use in generating pulse discharge. The pulse discharge power supply includes a pulse generation unit, a control circuit, an electric current detector and an electric current signal processing unit. The pulse generation unit generates a first pulse, and applies it to a discharge load for generating pulse discharge. The electric current detector detects an electric current flowing into the discharge load in accordance with the application of the pulse. The electric current signal processing unit outputs into the control circuit a signal based on an integration result of the electric current having been detected. The control circuit controls the generation of a second pulse in the pulse generation unit based on the signal being received.

Pulse discharge power supply and pulse discharge generating method

A water treatment device includes a grounding electrode having a planar flowing water portion that causes treatment target water to flow, a multiple of wire form high voltage electrodes provided parallel with the flowing water portion in a position distanced from the flowing water portion of the grounding electrode and to extend in a direction intersecting a flow direction of the treatment target water, and a blowing device that forms a gas flow that intersects an extension direction of the high voltage electrode and intersects an extension direction of an electrical discharge. This kind of configuration is such that even when water droplets adhere to the high voltage electrode, the water droplets are blown away by a pressure of the gas flow formed by the blowing device, and a spark discharge is restricted.

A water treatment apparatus includes: a trough-shaped flow path portion () on which treatment target water (W) flows; a high-voltage portion () having a plurality of high-voltage electrodes () disposed above the flow path portion () spacing therebetween in a direction orthogonal to a direction in which the treatment target water (W) flows; and an electric field relaxation portion () having first members () and second members () provided so as to extend around the high-voltage portion (). Water treatment is performed by applying a high voltage from a pulse power supply () to the high-voltage portion (), the first members (), and the second members () in order to generate electric discharge between the high-voltage electrodes () and the flow path portion (). And water treatment is performed by dissolving generated active species such as ozone and hydroxyl radicals into the treatment target water.

A humidifier includes: a water supply portion (supply pipe, supply part, and nozzle) to supply water; a flat-shaped diffusing member that is provided below the water supply portion, and diffuses the water supplied from the water supply portion in a plane direction and in a thickness direction; a humidifying member that is fixed and has a top surface in contact with and the diffusing member, and evaporates the water supplied from the diffusing member via the top surface; and fixing parts that apply pressure to at least a part of a portion of contact between the diffusing member and the humidifying member.

An ozone generator and an internal combustion engine with the ozone generator that can raise ozone additive rate of whole intake air, while suppressing pressure loss in the intake pipe from increasing. The internal combustion engine with an ozone generator includes a tubular intake pipe, through an inner region of which air flows, an ozone generator having an electrode plate that makes ozone and is disposed in the inner region or in the intake pipe, and a limiter that limits the flow of air in the inner region of the intake pipe; the electrode plate has a planar dielectric and high-voltage-side and low-voltage-side electrodes adhered and fixed to the dielectric and is formed in a shape of a plate extending in a direction in which air flows.

Ozone generator and internal combustion engine with ozone generator

In an ozone generating system which performs intermittent operation, that is, an operation in an ozone generating operation period in which ozone is generated by discharging gas including oxygen at a discharge electrode part and an operation in an ozone generating operation standby period in which ozone is not generated by stopping discharge are alternately repeated, a gas circulating device which circulates gas in the ozone generating apparatus and removes at least nitric acid from the gas which is circulated is connected to the ozone generating apparatus.

Ozone generating system and operation method thereof

In a water treatment apparatus, a tilted plate is disposed at an incline relative to a horizontal plane. Water to be treated is passed over the upper surface of the tilted plate. A discharge forming body is disposed across a gas layer above a water film formed by the water to be treated flowing over the tilted plate. The water treatment device includes main electrodes for forming a main discharge area between a first main electrode and a second main electrode, auxiliary electrodes for forming a preliminary discharge area between a first auxiliary electrode and a second auxiliary electrode, and a bubble generator generating a bubble in water to be treated through use of an externally supplied gas. In an ozone generating device including a discharge unit for discharging a material gas that flows through a discharge space formed between two electrodes to generate ozone and a cooling unit for radiating heat which is generated by the discharging, wherein the material gas is obtained by vaporizing a liquefied raw material, the cooling unit includes a first cooling unit through which a first refrigerant flows in contact with one of the two electrodes and a second cooling unit which is provided further to the downstream side of flow of the material gas in the discharge unit than the first cooling unit, and in which the cold heat source is the liquefied raw material and the temperature of the second refrigerant introduced to the second cooling unit is set to be lower than the temperature of the first refrigerant introduced to the first cooling unit.
