An image processing device includes: a road surface detecting section to detect a road surface region from an input image based on a shot image obtained by shooting with a camera; a time-series verifying section to perform time-series verification to verify a result of detection of the road surface region in the input image in a time-series manner; a detection region selecting section to set a detection region for detection of an object in the input image according to the result of detection of the road surface region by the road surface detecting section and a result of the time-series verification by the time-series verifying section; and a detecting section to detect the object in the detection region.

The problem to be solved is, when printing a 3D object by using a 3D printer of fused-deposition-modeling type or another type, to enable printing it even when the filament is not supported from underneath by avoiding filament drop by generating force to push the extruded filament to the neighbor filament, and to enable arraying the filaments to a horizontal direction. To avoid filament drop, force that pushes the newly extruded filament to the neighboring filament is generated, and filament drop is avoided. To do so, compression or extension power is generated by controlling the filament cross section by controlling the filament cross-section (i.e., the extrusion amount) and stiffness of the filament is controlled by controlling the temperature or light.

3D printing method that enables arraying horizontal filaments without support

Interdomain federation, generation or management of a virtual network (slice) that extends among domains can be performed without changing a function of a server or a node of a network domain without a function to manage the other domain. Pseudo node receiving a management message with the same protocol as a general node is added, in interdomain management information from an own domain, the other domain part in management information is received as the management information by the pseudo node (the other domain part is concealed) and when interdomain management information is transmitted to the other domain through the pseudo node by a federation protocol and the pseudo node and the interdomain management information is received from the other domain, the other domain part in the management information is bound as the management information of the pseudo node and transmitted to a management server of own domain.

One or more LAN switches capable of accessing the contents of a MAC address table, which the LAN switch contains, from the outside; and a presence server storing in a storage device a first correspondence table between a MAC address of a network interface, which equipment contains, and its user, and a second correspondence table between a port of the above-described LAN switch, and a physical range wired therefrom, are used to thereby obtain a correspondence table between the equipment, its user, and its physical location (range), whereby making applicable also to a wired LAN at the time of determining the location of the equipment or the location of a user using the equipment in a building, and making realizable at low cost, and allowing the location to be determined accurately within a predetermined segmented area, and not being affected even if an IP address is changed.

In cooperation between each data center and a WAN, virtual machine migration is carried out without interruption in processing so as to enable effective power-saving implementation, load distribution, or fault countermeasure processing. Each node located at a boundary point between the WAN and another network is provided with a network address translation (NAT) function that can be set dynamically to avoid address duplication due to virtual machine migration. Alternatively, each node included in the WAN is provided with a network virtualization function; and there are implemented a virtual network connected to a data center for including a virtual machine before migration, and a virtual network connected to a data center for including the virtual machine after migration, thereby allowing coexistent provision of identical addresses. Thus, the need for changing network routing information at the time of virtual machine migration can be eliminated, and a setting change for migration accomplished quickly.

A lock control technique suitable for voice communication terminals. A voice communication terminal includes an unattended state detecting unit which detects an unattended state of the terminal, when its user leaves the terminal, and a lock control unit. The lock control unit determines whether the unattended state detected by the unattended state detecting unit has continued for a given time period or longer. If determining that the unattended state has continued for the given time period or longer, the lock control unit controls the terminal's communication so that voice input to the terminal will not be transmitted to other parties in conversation and voice of any other party will not be output from the computer.

Voice communication terminal, media server, and method for control of locking voice communication

There is a need for providing a content to a user in process of a voice call without interrupting the conversation. A presence server is provided to manage positions, in a virtual space, of a user of each of voice telecommunication terminals and an advertisement sound source provided by an advertisement server. A media server applies a stereophonic process to voice data for each of the other voice telecommunication terminals correspondingly to a relative position between a user of each of the other voice telecommunication terminals and a user of the relevant voice telecommunication terminal. Further, the media server applies a stereophonic process to acoustic data for the advertisement sound source correspondingly to a relative position between the advertisement sound source and a user of the relevant voice telecommunication terminal. In this manner, stereophonically processed data is synthesized to generate voice call data for the relevant voice telecommunication terminal.

A policy system that can add/delete policies easily to/from devices as needed through existing interfaces and enable policies to be developed quickly on-site and applied to devices provided with new device interfaces and new commands. A policy manager registers each defined policy type in a database after the definition and searches and refers to the defined policy type upon receiving a policy so as to check the validity of the policy. A policy agent registers each defined policy translation rule in a database after the definition. Upon receiving a policy, the policy agent searches and uses the translation rule to translate the policy to a command string.

Network, server, and storage policy server

Every router in a network is provided with flow detecting means that detects a flow from a packet header of a packet so as to perform such packet processings as bandwidth monitoring, priority-based transferring, statistical information collecting with respect to each packet flow. Receiving a packet from a site, an edge router detects the packet flow and writes a flow identifier in the packet. Each flow identifier is uniquely decided in the network. The Internet router performs such packet processings as bandwidth monitoring, priority-based transferring, statistical information collecting with respect to each flow according to the flow identifier. The present invention can thus prevent the network from degradation of transferring performance caused by the flow detecting means of a backbone router.

A method and system are described for controlling a policy-based network. According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a first policy is established within a policy server of the network, wherein the first policy includes at least a first function and a second function. The first policy is converted into at least a second policy and a third policy, wherein the second policy is associated with the first function and the third policy is associated with the second function. The second policy and the third policy are distributed within the network to at least one node. The at least one node is controlled using the second policy and the third policy.

An induction variable contained in a definition formula for a variable in a loop is analyzed for a source program to be compiled in order to optimize the execution of the program. The induction variable is represented by a standard form expressed by a value (initial value) in a first interation of the loop and a value (increment) which is incremented for each iteration of the loop, and a subscript in an array in the loop is represented by linear coupling to the standard form. Whether the subscript assumes the same value in one or more iterations of the loop for a pair of arrays in the loop is checked to analyze the independency and dependency of the arrays in the loop.

A method for controlling a vector processor so as to detect whether or not a value of each data signal among a first set of data signals has a specific relation with a value of one of a second set of data signals. The vector processor includes an operation unit for performing an arithmetical or logical operation in a pipeline manner on vector data. First and second vector data are formed each including groups of data signals related to the first and second set of data signals. The operation of the operation unit is controlled such that the operation unit detects whether or not a value of each data signal of the first vector data has a specific relation with a value of a corresponding data signal of the second vector data. Third vector data including result data signals is generated thereby which indicate the result of the operation.
