A printing apparatus includes a first roller pair configured to convey a continuous medium, a printing head that is located downstream of the first roller pair and that performs printing on the continuous medium, a cutting unit that is located downstream of the printing head and that is configured to cut the continuous medium, a second roller pair that is located downstream of the cutting unit and that is configured to convey the continuous medium, a common driving source configured to apply driving force to the first roller pair and the second roller pair, and a clutch mechanism configured to cut power from the driving source to the second roller pair, wherein the clutch mechanism is a one-way mechanism that transmits the power when the continuous medium is conveyed in a forward direction and does not transmit the power when the continuous medium is conveyed in a reverse direction.

An inkjet printer comprising: an ink storage that communicates with a nozzle from which ink is ejected; a carriage that moves along a guide member and has the ink storage mounted thereon; an ink tube through which ink supplied to the ink storage passes; and a coupling member that connects the ink storage and the ink tube; wherein the carriage has a first wall located at a position that is in a first direction from the coupling member, and a second wall located at a position that is in a second direction from the coupling member, the first direction and the second direction being along the direction of carriage movement, and the second direction being opposite the first direction, and when viewed in the direction of carriage movement, the coupling member is superimposed with the first wall and is superimposed with the second wall.

An inkjet printer comprising: a carriage that carries an inkjet head and configured to scan a recording medium; a main circuit board with a controller that controls the carriage; a strap including a first cable that connects to a first circuit board disposed on the carriage and to the main circuit board, a second cable that connects to a second circuit board disposed on the carriage and to the main circuit board, and a clamp configured to bundle the first cable and the second cable; a support member configured to support the strap from vertically below; and an ink tube configured to connect to the inkjet head and to an ink tank located outside of the carriage; the ink tube disposed between the strap and the support member.

There is provided a cutting mechanism including: a cutter blade that can cut a medium, a cutter unit to which the cutter blade is attached, a first pinion gear that is rotatably attached to the cutter unit, and a rack gear that can mesh with the first pinion gear, in which the first pinion gear and the rack gear are configured with inclined teeth, and the cutter unit moves while the pinion gear is rotated in state of meshing the pinion gear and the rack gear.

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting unit that ejects ink onto paper, a first removal portion that removes adhering objects that have adhered to the paper by making contact with a first surface of the paper during transport of the paper, and a second removal portion that removes adhering objects that have adhered to the paper by making contact with a second surface of the paper during transport of the paper. The first removal portion and the second removal portion are disposed so as to partially overlap in the transport direction of the paper and so that ends of the first removal portion and the second removal portion on an upstream side in the transport direction are distanced from each other in the transport direction.

Liquid ejecting apparatus

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting unit that ejects ink onto paper, a medium holding portion that holds the paper to be fed to the liquid ejecting unit, and a removal portion that removes adhering objects that have adhered to the paper, in a feed path of the paper that is positioned lower than the medium holding portion.
