A music rack unit-mounting structure of a grand piano, for removably mounting a music rack unit on a piano body of the grand piano. Rear ends of a left-side engagement portion and a right-side engagement portion are configured to be capable of being placed on front ends of a left-side guide portion and a right-side guide portion from above, respectively, when the music rack unit is mounted on the piano body from the front. By sliding the music rack unit rearward from the placed state, the music rack unit is mounted on the piano body, while the left-side engagement portion and the right-side engagement portion are fitted on or in the left-side guide portion and the right-side guide portion, respectively.

A touch weight adjustment mechanism for a keyboard device, which is capable of adjusting a touch weight of a key easily and appropriately by using a coil spring and changing the urging force of the spring. An adjustment spring is formed by a coil spring for causing a tensile force thereof to act on the key, thereby increasing the touch weight of the key. An adjustment shaft is formed in a rod shape and is movable in a lengthwise direction by being operated for rotation. A rotary connection member connects between one end of the adjustment spring and one end of the adjustment shaft, which are closest to each other, and a spring-side connecting portion thereof connected to the adjustment spring and a shaft-side connecting portion thereof connected to the adjustment shaft are rotatable relative to each other.

Touch weight adjustment mechanism for keyboard device

A keyboard device having keys enabling sufficient weight of touch to be obtained in spite of being configured to be shorter in length than those of the grand piano and. Link mechanisms are each provided on a base for supporting an associated one of the keys from below and configured to cause the associated key to operate such that when a front end of the key is depressed, an amount of downward movement of a rear end of the key becomes approximately half of an amount of downward movement of the front end of the key. Each link mechanism includes front-side and rear-side key link bars and front-side and rear-side connecting link bars. The front-side and rear-side connecting link bars are pivotally supported, respectively, and are pivotally and slidably connected to each other via respective rear and front ends thereof.

A damper for a piano, which has a bifurcated damper felt of which a space between two protrusions is difficult to be narrowed. A damper head extends along three strings in a lengthwise direction thereof and is movable in directions in which the damper moves into and out of contact with the three strings. Damper felt is attached to a string-side surface of the damper head such that it extends in a lengthwise direction of the damper head, and includes two protrusions formed to protrude toward the strings in a bifurcated manner such that they can be brought into contact with the three strings in a state inserted into respective spaces therebetween. The damper felt is attached to the damper head such that deformation of the damper felt in which a space between the two protrusions is narrowed is resisted.
