The invention provides a metal honeycomb core body used as the principal structural element of an exhaust gas cleaning unit excellent in various performances and economy that is provided with a corrugated band member, that is a structural member of a metal honeycomb core body having a special waveform structure. The invention provides a metal honeycomb core body having honeycomb structure fabricated by bringing corrugated band members ( ) and planar band members ( ) made of thin-walled metal sheet alternately into contact. The corrugated band member ( ) has a waveform structure obtained by using a waveform of an imaginary corrugated sheet ( &prime;) having crests and troughs which are in contact with a planar band member ( ) and composed of a connected waveform having a desired waveheight (h) and one period length (&lgr;&prime;). A one period length (&lgr;) of a new waveform is formed comprising the area ( ) where the waveform of the imaginary corrugated sheet ( &prime;) is in contact with the planar band member ( ) on at least one pair of an adjacent crest and trough of a wave. The area ( ) which is not in contact with the planar band member ( ) is connected adjacently to the area ( ) which is in contact with the planar band member ( ). The area ( ) of at least one end of which is in contact with the planar band member ( ) and is connected adjacently to the noncontact area ( ). Metal honeycomb structure

A fuel delivery rail assembly for supplying fuel to a plurality of fuel injectors in an engine is provided. The assembly comprises an elongate conduit having a longitudinal fuel passage therein, a fuel inlet pipe, and a plurality of sockets. Outer walls of the conduit include at least one flat or arcuate flexible first absorbing surface, which is smoothly and integrally connected to an arcuate second absorbing surface. The first absorbing surface or the second absorbing surface faces fuel inlet ports of the sockets. The sectional configuration of the conduit can be flat, a telephone receiver shape, a character &ldquo;T&rdquo; shape, a corrugation shape, a dumbbell shape or a reverse eye mask shape. Thus, fuel pressure pulsations and shock waves are reduced by abrupt enlargements of fuel passages and bendings of the absorbing surfaces.

A temperature control device for a constant temperature chiller unit or a vending machine is provided. Thermal medium fluid such as water in the chiller unit is accurately controlled under starting mode, heating mode and cooling mode. Thermal medium fluid such as air in the vending machine is conveniently controlled in winter mode and summer mode. In the device, a heat exchanger is interposed within a compression circuit, and a bypass circuit is disposed at the downstream side of a pump so that through the bypass circuit thermal medium fluid receives heat from the heat exchanger. Thus, the temperature of thermal medium fluid supplied to an external secondary heat load is controlled.

A high-pressure fuel injection tube for a diesel engine, comprising: a tube body having connecting heads at its two end portions; fastening nuts assembled at the backs of the connecting heads; a pair of separate outer tubes so fitted on the outer circumference of the tube body as to be spaced from each other at a gap between the opposed end faces thereof and to move in the axial direction; seal ring members so fitted on the outer circumferences of the outer tubes in the vicinity of the outer end portions of the outer tubes as to engage with the fastening nuts respectively; and a relatively short joint cylinder fitted on the outer circumferences of the outer tubes across the inner end portions of the outer tubes. Further comprised is a seal ring member which is fitted between at least one fitted end portion of the joint cylinder and the outer circumference of the faced one of the outer tubes.
