A feed control device and method of reducing variations in the amount of product fed to receiving units from a dispersion feeding device of the type comprising a dispensing mechanism for dispersively dispensing product fed thereto radially toward the periphery thereof, and a feeding mechanism for feeding the product to a product feeding position on the dispensing mechanism. The control device includes apparatus for determining the displacement of the center of gravity of the dispensing mechanism due to the product being carried thereon, and apparatus for moving the feeding mechanism relative to the dispensing mechanism in response thereto. The control method comprises the steps of determining the displacement of the center of gravity of the dispensing mechanism due to the product being carried thereon, and moving the feeding device relative to the dispensing mechanism in response thereto.

Device and method for controlling distributive feeding device

A vibrator for providing revolving vibration to a body to be vibrated such as a dispersion table of a vibration feeder or a sieve stack of a screening machine. In this vibrator, it is possible not only to control the amplitude of vibration but also to obtain a uniform vibration amplitude everywhere in the vibrating body inclusive of its center. A unique feature of this vibrator involves a plurality of armatures fixed to and around a vibrating member and actuated by associated electromagnets energized with multiphase a.c. power.

A novel product feeding device for a combination weighing machine. The feeding device is designed to feed a plurality of weighing hoppers of the machine with product, such as uncooked meat, having sticky characteristics so that it cannot be conveyed by vibrating conveyor troughs as used in prior art conventional combination weighing machines. The novel feeding device includes a plurality of horizontal rotating discs corresponding to respective weighing hoppers. The discs are arranged in successively overlapping fashion for transferring product fed to the discs at one sides thereof to respective weighing hoppers disposed under the discs at the opposite sides thereof.

Product feeding device for combination weighing machine

A device, so-called dispersion feeder, for feeding product to be weighed from a single source to a plurality of weighing units of a combination weighing machine which are arranged in a circular array. The device, which is generally of a circular shape, is disposed in the center of the circular array of weighing units and distributes the product fed from the source to its central portion, to the respective weighing units towards the radial direction. The improvement in this device is that entangled aggregates of the product can be automatically dispersed before leaving outlet ports provided on the periphery for the respective weighing units.

Dispersion feeder for combination weighing machine

A novel device to be attached to each weighing hopper of a combination weighing machine is provided for cleaning the hopper by applying an air jet to the inside of the hopper for a short time just after every unloading of the hopper to blow off possible fragments of product weighed sticking to and accumulating on the inner wall of the hopper to affect the tare and, consequently, the combined weight.

An improved distribution feeder of circular disc type, for receiving articles at the central portion and exhausting them from a plurality of outlets at the periphery, having the upper surface provided with a slope highest at the center and slanting down toward the periphery and a vibrator for imparting vertical and rotational vibration to the distribution feeder, thereby facilitating free movement of the articles to eliminate undesirable accumulation of the articles at the closed outlets.
