A coil winding machine for winding a wire at a plurality of slots of a core of a coil rotor by feeding it out from a nozzle provided at a front end of a flyer, which coil winding machine is provided with a former, a fixed guide, and a movable guide for guiding the wire to the slots for winding and a clamper provided inside the fixed guide and clamping one shaft end of the rotor, the movable guide engaging with the other shaft end of the rotor and able to move in the axial direction of the core.

An apparatus for forming a field coil with a low load comprises a rotary table, a reel table to be turned together with the rotary table, six reel bars for guiding and winding a conductor into the coil according to the rotation of the rotary table, and six shaping units disposed alternately with the reel bars. The shaping units are radially movable on the rotary table. A groove-cam-type moving mechanism radially reciprocates, at a rate of one reciprocation per turn of the rotary table, the shaping units on the rotary table with predetermined phase shifts between the movements of the shaping units, thereby pushing the conductor stretched between the reel bars toward the center of the rotary table and shaping the conductor.

Shaping apparatus for forming a field coil

The present invention generally relates to a coil insertion device for inserting a stator coil into a slot defined within a stator core of an electric rotary machine and to an improvement in a mechanism for inserting a stator coil into a slot. The coil insertion device includes a plurality of clamping guides moveable along the inner peripheries of the stator core and the base body and circumferentially arranged in a regularly spaced relationship, a plurality of coil clampers arranged radially inward and in opposition to the clamping guides for clamping a prewound stator coil in an aligned condition with the clamping guides and for shifting upward according to an upward movement of the clamping guide to draw the stator coil into the slots at a given angle of tilt, and a plurality of blades moveable along the inner periphery of the base body, the blades being formed in an essentially identical configuration and having essentially the same arrangement as the clamping guides 52, thereby permitting a stripper extending therethrough to push the stator coil into the slot by an upward movement after an insertion by the coil clampers.
