Electrical connector

A connector includes a connector housing and a shield shell. A terminal electrically connected to an end part of a wire is arranged inside the connector housing. The connector housing includes an inserting portion to be inserted into a mounting hole provided in a conductive case for accommodating an inverter and an outer arrangement portion integral with the inserting portion and to be arranged outside the case. A case-side sealing member seals between the outer peripheral surface of the inserting portion and the inner peripheral surface of the mounting hole. The shield shell is electrically connected to the case and covers the outer periphery of the outer arrangement portion. The inserting portion includes a first intrusion suppressing groove continuously provided over the entire periphery of the inserting portion in a part of the outer peripheral surface of the inserting portion between the case-side sealing member and the outer arrangement portion.

Electrical connector shell

A connector includes a connector housing and a shield shell. A terminal electrically connected to an end part of a wire is arranged inside the connector housing. The connector housing includes an inserting portion to be inserted into a mounting hole provided in a conductive case for accommodating an inverter and an outer arrangement portion integral with the inserting portion and to be arranged outside the case. The shield shell includes a tubular covering portion for covering an outer periphery of the outer arrangement portion and is electrically connected to the case. A shield-side sealing member seals between an outer-peripheral surface of the outer arrangement portion and an inner-peripheral surface of the covering portion. The outer-peripheral surface of the outer arrangement portion has a second intrusion suppressing groove provided over the entire outer periphery of the outer arrangement portion between the shield-side sealing member and the inserting portion.

Connector

A device connector to be mounted and fixed to a case of a device includes a case-side connector to be fixed to the case by fitting a tool such as an impact wrench to a bolt head provided on a fixing bolt and tightening the fixing bolt into the case, a mating connector to be connected to the case-side connector and fixed to the case by tightening a connecting bolt into the case with the mating connector mounted on the case-side connector, and an access prohibiting portion provided on the mating connector and configured to prohibit the tool from being fitted to the bolt head by being arranged in proximity to the bolt head of the fixing bolt when the mating connector is mounted on the case-side connector.

Device connector

A connector () includes terminals () each of which has a plate-like connecting portion () formed with a nut mounting hole (). A housing () is formed with terminal accommodating portions () capable of accommodating the terminals (). Nuts () with bolt holes () are mounted integrally on the connecting portion () so that each bolt hole () coaxially communicates with the nut mounting hole (). Locking lances () are formed in the housing () and retain the connecting portions () by locking outer parts of the nuts () from behind. Front stops () are formed in the terminal accommodating portion () and stop the connecting portion () at a front end position by locking projections () formed on the terminal () to project from the terminal () from front.

Connector and housing

A pin terminal (PT) is such that a cap () made of synthetic resin is attached to a tip part of a terminal main body () made of metal and in the form of a round pin. An attachment hole () including an uninterrupted and continuous peripheral wall over the entire circumference is perforated on the tip surface of the terminal main body (), whereas a press-fitting portion () to be press-fitted into the attachment hole () is formed to project on the rear surface of the cap (). An internal thread () is formed on the peripheral surface of the attachment hole (), and a ridge portion () of this internal thread () constitutes a biting protrusion. The tip of the pin terminal (PT) is structured to form a smooth and tapered guiding portion ().

Pin terminal

A male connector () is mounted to a case (C) of a device and includes a bolt (B) with a tightening portion (B) to be engaged by a tool for screwing the bolt into a bolt hole (C). A shield () includes an insertion hole () for receiving the bolt (B) and a bolt cap () covers the tightening portion (B). A seat () is provided adjacent the insertion hole () and is sandwiched by an edge of the bolt hole (C) and the tightening portion (B) in the axial direction. A flange (B) projects out from the tightening portion (B). A mounting recess (D) is formed between the flange (B) and the seat (). A mounting portion () is mounted in the mounting recess (D) and engages the bolt cap () to hold the bolt cap () on the tightening portion (B).

Device connector and device connector system

A terminal fitting () is provided with a terminal portion () and a wire connecting portion () formed to be continuous with the rear end of the terminal portion () and to be connected with an exposed part of a conductor (). The wire connecting portion () and the exposed part of the conductor () are accommodated in a waterproof cover () and clearances in the waterproof cover () are filled with a filling material (). The waterproof cover () is formed with a holding portion () for holding the terminal fitting () in such a manner as to preventing a movement of the terminal fitting () with respect to the waterproof cover () by coming into contact with the terminal fitting ().
