An indoor unit includes a rear housing in which a heat exchanger and an electrical component box are disposed, a front housing disposed in front of the heat exchanger such that the front housing is removable, a front design panel disposed in front of the front housing such that the front design panel is removable, a securing and storage part into which a communication adapter is secured, and a temporary placement part for the communication adapter. The securing and storage part is disposed in the front housing such that the securing and storage part is exposed when the front design panel is removed. The temporary placement part is used to temporarily place the communication adapter on the temporary placement part.

A pipe joint structure includes: a union; a flare nut that includes a female thread formed at one of axially opposite ends of the flare nut, and a first annular surface formed at the other of the axially opposite ends of the flare nut; a cylindrical sleeve that houses the flare nut such that the flare nut can be rotate and moved forward and backward; a rotary ring that has a second annular surface located to face the first annular surface, and is attached to the sleeve such that the rotary ring can be rotated for the union; and a pressing member that presses the flare nut toward the rotary ring. At the second annular surface, a claw is formed in such a manner as to protrude towards the flare nut. The first annular surface includes an engagement surface that is formed in such a manner to face one side in a circumferential direction and a helically inclined surface that is adjacent to the engagement surface in the circumferential direction and formed helically in such a way as to incline and face the opposite side of the one side in the circumferential direction.

Pipe joint structure and air conditioner

An indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus includes a front design panel in which a recess is formed as a suction port through which air is sucked, the recess being depressed rearward from a front face and extending in a width direction. The front design panel includes a lower panel extending in the width direction below the recess, an upper panel extending in the width direction above the recess, and a connecting portion connecting a back side of the lower panel and a back side of the upper panel. The connecting portion includes a bottom wall extending rearward from the lower panel, and an inner wall extending upward from the bottom wall and connecting to the upper panel. The bottom wall is located below an upper edge of the lower panel.

An air flow direction adjusting device of an air-conditioning apparatus includes: a base member including attachment shafts; air flow direction adjusting members individually attached to the attachment shafts such that the air flow direction adjusting members are allowed to rotate; and a link plate configured to rotate the air flow direction adjusting members in an interlocked manner. At least one of the air flow direction adjusting members includes a rotation shaft attachment portion attached to the corresponding one of the attachment shafts, a link plate engagement portion to be engaged with the link plate, and an operation member attachment portion to which a manual operation member for manually adjusting orientation of the air flow direction adjusting members is attached. The manual operation member is not attached to at least one of the air flow direction adjusting members.

A locking claw on an outer face of a container portion made of resin is engaged with a locking hole in an outer periphery of a case made of sheet metal, the container portion being covered by the case, a locking claw on an outer face of a cover is engaged with a locking hole in an outer periphery of a lid body, the cover being covered by the lid body, they are assembled so that a part of an opening edge of an opening portion of the case is covered by an opening edge of an opening portion of the cover, the container portion and the case as well as the cover and the lid body are fixed to form an electric equipment box and a flame spread inhibiting path is formed between the lid body and the case.
