Provided are a method for producing an electrode material for a vacuum circuit breaker, whereby withstand voltage, high current interruption performance and capacitor switching performance can be improved; an electrode material for a vacuum circuit breaker; and an electrode for a vacuum circuit breaker. A contact material for an electrode for a vacuum circuit breaker has an integral structure consisting of a central member and a Cu&#x2014;Cr outer peripheral member, the central member having been produced as described above and comprising 30 to 50 wt % of Cu of a particle diameter of 20 to 150 &#x3bc;m and 50 to 70 wt % of Mo&#x2014;Cr of a particle diameter of 1 to 5 &#x3bc;m, while the outer peripheral member being formed of a material, which is highly compatible with the central member, shows excellent interruption performance and had high withstand voltage, and being provided outside the central member and fixed thereto.

Method for producing electrode material for vacuum circuit breaker, electrode material for vacuum circuit breaker and electrode for vacuum circuit breaker

The electrode material for a vacuum circuit breaker is produced by a method comprising a mixing step, a press sintering step, and a Cu infiltration step. In the mixing step, an Mo powder having a particle diameter of 0.8 to 6 &#x3bc;m is homogeneously mixed with a thermite Cr powder having a particle diameter of 40 to 300 &#x3bc;m in such a manner as giving a mixing ratio (Mo:Cr) of 1:1 to 9:1 and satisfying the weight relation Mo&#x2267;Cr. In the press sintering step, the resultant mixture is pressure molded under a press pressure of 1 to 4 t/cmto give a molded article. Next, said molded article is sintered by maintaining the same at a temperature of 1100 to 1200&#xb0; C. for 1 to 2 hours in an heating furnace to give a partially sintered article. In the Cu infiltration step, a thin Cu plate is placed on said partially sintered article and maintained at a temperature of 1100 to 1200&#xb0; C. for 1-2 hours in a heating furnace so that Cu is liquid-phase sintered and infiltrated into the partially sintered article. A video tape recorder integrally combined with a video camera has a housing having a battery casing for accommodating a battery therein and a battery cover mounted on the housing for openably closing the battery casing. A display unit for displaying various pieces of information relative to the video tape recorder is mounted on the battery cover. A process for forming an electrode assembled into a vacuum interrupter is composed of the steps of blending silver(Ag) powder and chromium(Cr) powder in a content ratio such that Ag powder forms a matrix and Cr powder being dispersed therein, the blending ratio is prefer to be determined to contain 50 to 95 wt. % of Ag powder and 5 to 50 wt. % of Cr powder, compacting the blended powder to a compacted body, sintering the body at temperatures around melting point of Ag, and regulating density of the sintered article at least 90%. Particle size of Cr to be blended may be determined less than 150 .mu.m, more preferably, less than 60 .mu.m. Sintering temperature may be determined between 800.degree. to 950.degree. C.

Electrode material

A method for forming an electrical contact material comprises the steps of melting a mixture of Cu and Cr into a molten alloy, atomizing the molten alloy into fine particles to obtain alloyed particles. Cr particles in the alloyed powder disintegrate to less than 5 .mu.m in mean particle diameter. The alloyed powder is sintered thereafter and a mean particle diameter of chromium in the sintered article is fined in a range of 2 to 20 .mu.m. An electrical contact material is composed of a copper matrix and chromium particles having a mean particle diameter of 2 to 20 .mu.m. The chromium particles are homogeneously dispersed in the copper matrix.

Method for forming an electrical contact material

An all-directional optical sensor apparatus 8 includes an all-directional prism 20 which has a cylindrical-shaped body with a hollow-out cone section formed in its top surface 22. The surface 28 of the cone works as a reflector 30 for rays received through side surfaces 24 of the cylindrical-shaped body. An optical sensing element is disposed adjacent to a bottom surface 26 of the prism 20. A roof plate 40 having a dimension larger than the top surface 22 of the prism is arranged for shielding the entry of any light other than an input signal into an upper portion of the prism 20.

An optical disk apparatus in which a head is accommodated in a movable part which moves the head along a guide shaft in a radial direction of an optical disk. The guide shaft is engageable with the movable part and extends in the radial direction of the optical disk. A process for forming contact material of an electrode comprises the steps of preparing chromium of which oxygen content is substantially reduced, forming a molten mixture of the chromium and copper, atomizing the molten mixture into fine particles to obtain Cu-Cr alloyed powder, compacting Cu-Cr alloyed powder under desired pressure, and sintering the compacted alloyed powder. The oxygen content of the chromium may be reduced until less than 0.1 wt %. In a course of the process, a metal having melting point lower then copper may be blended. The metal may be blended in Cu-Cr alloyed powder, or blended in the molten mixture of copper and chromium. Alternatively, the process further includes the steps of forming a second molten mixture of copper and a metal having melting point lower than copper, atomizing the second molten mixture into fine particles to obtain alloyed powder of copper and the metal, and blending Cu-Cr alloyed powder with the alloyed powder of copper and the metal. The metal may be selected from one or mixture of the metals consisting of bismuth, lead, tellurium, antimony and selenium.

A disk storage device includes a head part which writes data into a storage disk loaded into the disk storage device and reads data from the storage disk, a linear actuator moving the head part in radial directions of the storage disk, an eject member which is operated when the storage disk is ejected, and a movement mechanism which moves the storage disk to an eject portion in response to an operation of the eject member and which moves the storage disk to a read/write position. A lock part, which has a lock member cooperating with the movement mechanism, keeps, in response to the operation of the eject member, the head part stationary at the eject position by the lock member which engages with one of the head part and the linear actuator.
