A wireless power transfer device including: a power transmitterincluding a power transmission resonator composed of a power transmission coil and a resonant capacitance; and a power receiver including a power receiving resonator composed of a power receiving coil and a resonant capacitance. The wireless power transfer device further includes a power-transmission auxiliary device including an auxiliary resonator composed of an auxiliary coil and a resonant capacitance. The power-transmission auxiliary device and the power transmitter are configured to be disposed so as to face each other, forming a power receiving space for disposing the power receiving coil between the power transmission coil and the auxiliary coil. An efficient power transfer can be performed without providing an adjusting circuit in the power receiver even when the power receiving coil is not appropriately disposed with respect to the power transmission coil.

A recording medium having a dummy signal area on at least one side of a recording area is used and information is recorded with a dummy signal added to at least one of the leading and trailing sides in the recorded information signal. The user data area remains unaffected by repeated overwriting so that recorded user data is reproduced correctly. In particular, the wave form distortion caused by fluidization of a recording film remains at the dummy signal area and does not affect the user data area, so that the reproduction of the target information (user data) is assured.

The information recording medium has a groove-shaped information recording track and is provided with a recording layer, one or more kinds of heat sink control layers and heat sink layers. A sum of film thickness of the more than one kind of recording layer is equal to or less than a step between information recording tracks, and a sum of film thickness of one or more kinds of heat sink control layers is more than a groove depth of the information recording track. With this configuration, no cross-erase is produced even if the information-recording medium is applied for a high density recording with the track pitch being 70% or less.

A recording medium in which information is to be recorded is permitted to get into a first state by a first power level of an energy beam and permitted to get into a second state by a second power level higher than the first power level of the energy beam. An information recording method for recording information on a rewritable recording medium include recording synchronizing signal information in a synchronizing signal portion on the rewritable recording medium, and recording data information in a data portion of the writable recording medium after the synchronizing signal portion by forming a record mark in the data portion. The data information corresponds to both ends of each record mark. Each time the synchronizing signal information is recorded, a length of the synchronizing signal portion changes and a start position of the synchronizing signal portion changes, and each time the data information is recorded, the record mark and space between the record mark are substantially inverted.
