Disclosed is a brushless motor (A) which is an axial gap type brushless motor (A) wherein stators (A,A) comprising a coil () and a rotor () comprising a permanent magnet () are arranged with a gap therebetween in the axial direction. The coil () is a band-like wire which is spirally wound such that the width direction of the band-like wire generally coincides with the direction of the magnetic flux that is generated by the permanent magnet () of the rotor (). Consequently, the axial gap type brushless motor (A) having the above-described structure can be further reduced in eddy current loss in comparison to conventional brushless motors.

A water drinking container for animals is provided with which the temperature of water placed therein can be suppressed over a long period of time, especially during a period of high air temperature, to make water readily drinkable for a dog or other animal to weak from heat and make it easy for the animal to weather the heat by adequate hydration, the water drinking container being simple in arrangement, being available inexpensively, and including: a water container, having an upwardly-open, water containing recess; a cold reserving material, contained in a bag or a plastic case; and a cold reserving material container, holding the cold reserving material in a state of contact with a bottom rear surface of the water containing recess of the water container.

A strip shape of a rolled material in its widthwise direction on the outgoing side of the rolling mill is detected by a strip shape meter, and the detected shape and a strip thickness are synthetically evaluated using a total performance index. Operation amounts for a strip shape controlling actuator and a strip thickness controlling actuator which make the value of the total performance index minimum are always found out, and the actuators are controlled simultaneously in accordance with the operation amounts to control the strip shape of the rolled material. The apparatus comprises a saddle receiver the vertical position of which is controlled by a roll gap controlling device in accordance with an estimated value to change the gap between upper and lower work rolls of the rolling mill.
