A paper feed tray includes: a tray unit; a lifting member arranged in the tray unit, for lifting a drawn-out end of a paper sheet being the uppermost or the last of a stack accommodated in the tray unit; a spring for urging the lifting member in a lifting direction; and a lid attachable to and pivotable on the tray unit and having a free end near where paper sheets are drawn out. The inner face of the lid is furnished with a plurality of protruding parts capable of pressing on a paper sheet accommodated in the tray unit is arranged on the inner face of the lid at intervals from the pivotal-axis side toward the free-end side of the lid. The heights of the protruding parts decrease in order of proximity to the free-end side of the lid, so that while the lid is being closed the protruding parts, in order from the one closest to the pivotal axis of the lid, press on the paper sheet.

An auxiliary tray frame is attached attachably/reattachably to a tray unit. The auxiliary tray frame is a rectangular frame including a front frame portion, a rear frame portion, and both side frame portions. A fore-end of the auxiliary tray frame fits into a cut-out formed in a front wall of the tray unit, and a space surrounded by the front wall of the tray unit, and the auxiliary-tray rear frame portion and opposing side frame portions forms a small-sized paper sheet-accommodating space.

In a signal recording or reproduction device for disks, release means for disengaging a lock slide from a holder when the holder is pivotally moved upward from a lowered position has a release piece slanting with respect to a plane containing a path of pivotal movement of the holder, attached at a base end thereof to a chassis and deformable by deflecting outward. The release piece extends from its base end along cartridge inserting and unloading directions. The release piece escapes from the lock slide by being deflected outward for deformation by contact with the lock slide when the slide is moved with the descent of the holder, and restores itself elastically upon passage of the lock slide. The lock slide as brought into contact with the lower end of the release piece when the holder is pivotally raised from the lowered position is disengaged from the holder by being so deflected for deformation.

Device for recording or reproducing signal on or from disk with a releasing mechanism

A cartridge has a shutter movable forward and rearward for exposing or alternatively enclosing a disk contained in a shell. The shell is inserted into a device provided with a tooth for opening the shutter and a spring piece fittable to the shutter and positioned at a level different from that of the tooth. The shell has a slit formed in a side face thereof in the vicinity of the shutter for permitting the tooth to advance thereinto. The shell has a corner in the vicinity of the slit and providing a contact face. The slit is provided at a front end portion thereof with a guide groove positioned in the contact face and enlarging toward the front. The contact face is in the form of a circular arc or slope and so shaped that the path of movement thereof intersects the inner end of the tooth at a location B which is positioned forwardly of a position A where the path of movement intersects the spring piece.

Cartridge containing disk and device for recording or reproducing signal on or from the disk

A holder pivotally supported on a chassis for supporting a cartridge which is provided with a shutter biased by a spring in a closing direction. A slide member mounted on the holder is reciprocatingly movable between a first position where an opening piece pushes the shutter open with the loading of the cartridge into the holder and a second position where the latch engages the cartridge after moving from the first position toward the cartridge loading direction. A release mechanism is disposed between the chassis and the holder for disengaging the latch from the cartridge when the cartridge is unloaded from the holder. The cartridge as disengaged and in contact with the opening piece is moved by the spring in the unloading direction.

Device for recording or reproducing signals on disk and method of inserting and extracting cartridge for the device

A holder is pivoted to a chassis upwardly and downwardly movably. A lateral shift restraining piece is positioned on the chassis at a small distance away from an inner side surface of the holder, is opposed to a side plate of the holder in a horizontal posture, and is out of opposed relation with the side plate when the holder is in an upright posture. A pivotal movement restraining piece is elastically deformably provided on the chassis for preventing the holder from opening excessively by the contact of an end thereof with the holder when the holder is pivotally moved upward.
