A method for controlling an inkjet printing apparatus performing printing to an elongated printing medium, the method having a discharging step of performing continuous application to a piezoelectric elementof a nozzle to be used with a pulse number of two or more waves per one printing element to deform the piezoelectric element and thereby discharge ink in an ink chamberfrom an opening portion, and a vibrating step of performing application of the piezoelectric elementsto all the nozzles with a pulse number of one wave per one printing element to deform the piezoelectric elements, thereby imparting only vibrations to the inks in the ink chamberswithout discharging the inks, where the discharging step and the vibrating step are performed alternately.

Ink jet recording apparatus

A method of correcting print images in an electrophotographic printer wherein an image formed by a print head () on a peripheral surface of a photoconductor drum () is transferred and printed on a sheet of paper. The method comprises: furnishing the print head with a standard tacho signal in the form of pulses and thereby printing on a sheet of paper a check mark () for each given number of pulses of the standard tacho signal while the photoconductor drum makes one rotation; by means of a camera (), detecting a periodic deviation in each spacing between successive such check marks; in response to the deviation in each spacing between the successive check marks, varying the pulse width of pulses of the standard tacho signal for each spacing between the successive check marks, thereby to provide a modified tacho signal; and effecting printing thereafter based on the modified tacho signal.

Method and apparatus for correcting print images in an electrophotographic printer

A electronic photograph printer includes a density-measurement section and a density controller section. The density-measurement section includes a density sensorfor measuring densities of images printed on a web by electronic-photograph-printing units. The density controller section adjusts densities of images which are about to be printed on the web by the electronic-photograph-printing units based on measurement data obtained by using the density sensorassociated with the densities of the image on the web. This configuration enables accurate and stable print-density control at a low cost.

Electronic photograph printer

A printing machine includes two printing units, each comprising a web feed section, a web printing section connected to the web feed section and a web treating section connected to the web printing section, in which a single-side surface of a continuous web is printed at each of the web printing sections. The printing machine also includes a turn/transfer section at which two the printing units are operatively connected and the continuous web printed by one of the two web printing sections is transferred to the other one thereof through turning and transferring treatment of the continuous web. The printing machine is capable of carrying out double-side printing and single side printing and improving printing efficiency with a relatively small location space or site.
