A laser machining method and a laser machining apparatus by which holes excelling in form accuracy can be machined efficiently are to be provided. A first cylindrical lens and/or a second cylindrical lens to correct any deformation of reflective face of a first mirror and/or a second mirror is arranged on an optical axis of a laser beam, and converging positions of the laser beam for an X-component and for a Y-component are coincident with a point on the optical axis.

Laser machining method and laser machining apparatus

There is provided a laser machining apparatus for sheet-like workpieces that allows an installation area to be reduced and that may be readily controlled. The laser machining apparatus includes a Y-table movable in X- and Y-plane directions orthogonal to a laser beam irradiated from an f&#x3b8; lens, a supply reel for holding a supply-side roll which contains a sheet-like workpiece, and a take-up reel for holding a take-up side roll containing a finished sheet-like workpiece. Machining is carried out by fixing the sheet-like workpiece in the machining area on the movable table and by irradiating the laser beam while moving the movable table relative to the laser beam. At least one of the supply reel and the take-up reel is disposed on the movable table.

Laser machining apparatus for sheet-like workpiece

There is provided a method and a device capable of holding a sheet-like workpiece without wrinkles. The sheet-like workpiece holding method includes mounting the sheet-like workpiece such that almost no tensile force is applied thereon on a machining table, and pressing out wrinkles of the sheet-like workpiece by lowering a pressing member whose surface facing to the workpiece protrudes in the shape of a convex lens toward the workpiece so that the workpiece is pressed against the machining table. The method also includes retaining the sheet-like workpiece on the machining table using suction while continuously pressing the sheet-like workpiece with the pressing member and releasing the pressing force of the pressing member while retaining the sheet-like workpiece.

Method and device for holding sheet-like workpiece

A spindle unit having a pressure foot whose machining efficiency may be improved even when compressed air is used as means for pressing the pressure foot. The spindle unit having the pressure foot includes a rotor shaft provided within a base rotatably and movably along an axis, a collet chuck provided at one end of the rotor shaft, a linear motor for moving a movable element rotatably connected with the rotor shaft and movably provided within the base along the axis together with the rotor shaft to move a drill closer to or apart from the workpiece, a rotary motor for rotating the rotor shaft, a pressure foot disposed in front of the edge of the collet chuck and is capable of pressing down the workpiece, and air cylinders for connecting the movable element with the pressure foot so as to be relatively movable by a predetermined degree and for pressing the pressure foot in the direction separating from the collet chuck.

There is provided a printed board machining apparatus that is capable of improving machining efficiency without hampering machining accuracy. The printed board machining apparatus includes a pressure foot which is provided with a port whose one end is opened at a lower surface of the pressure foot facing a stiffening plate, and whose other end is connected to a compressed gas source to blow out gas from the port at a pressure which does not interfere with the pressure foot pressurizing the stiffening plate and printed boards in machining the printed boards. It is noted that the gas is blown out during a period of time at least when the pressure foot and the stiffening plate are moving relatively in the horizontal direction.

There is provided a laser machining apparatus, and a laser machining method using the same. The laser machining apparatus has a body portion having a plurality of laser irradiating sections and work mounting sections, a supplying stocker for supplying workpieces, and a discharging stocker for discharging the workpieces. The apparatus further comprises a supply-side transfer unit having work retaining tables capable of attracting/releasing the workpieces and being of the same number as the laser irradiating sections, and moving in vertical and horizontal directions, and a discharge-side transfer unit having work retaining tables capable of attracting/releasing the workpieces and being of the same number as the laser irradiating sections, and moving in vertical and horizontal directions. The supply-side transfer unit causes the supply-side work retaining tables to attract the workpieces from the supplying stocker one after another and moves these supply-side work retaining tables to the work mounting sections to place the workpieces thereon. The discharge-side transfer unit causes the discharge-side work retaining tables to attract the work pieces which have been machined at work mounting sections, and to move and discharge these workpieces to the discharging stocker.

Laser machining apparatus and laser machining method

In a machining method and a machining apparatus, prior to machining, an NC control unit makes an X-axis drive unit move a table based on examination conditions specified in advance. Thus, the NC control unit obtains a stabilization time required from the command-reach time of a poisoning command and till the stabilization of position response of the table within a predetermined allowable range. Likewise, for moving a drill in a Y-axis direction, the NC control unit obtains a stabilization time required till the stabilization of position response within a predetermined allowable range. At the time of machining, the drill is moved in a Z-axis direction to cut into a printed wiring board as soon as the obtained stabilization time has passed.

Machining method and machining apparatus

In a laser beam machining apparatus, a work supply station is disposed on one side of a laser beam machining apparatus body, and a work holding station is disposed on the other side of the laser beam machining apparatus body. Each of the work supply station and the work holding station is provided with a means for removing a work vertically and positioning the work w in a horizontal state on a machining table. A stocker including works disposed therein is disposed in the work supply station, and a stocker including no work disposed therein is disposed in the work holding station, so that a surface of a work w disposed in the stocker is machined, and the machined work is disposed in the stocker. When the machining of the works disposed in the stocker has been finished, the stocker is rotated through 180 degrees about a vertical axis by a lifter. Then, a back of the work is machined according to a procedure reverse from the above-described machining procedure. When the machining of all the works has been completed, the works are returned to the stocker. Thus, the machining apparatus is smaller in size and capable of carrying out the machining with an enhanced working efficiency.

The invention provides an active mass damper by use of which a machining apparatus can be downsized. The active mass damper includes a support unit for supporting a weight movably and horizontally, a motor for driving the weight, and a controller for controlling the motor. A torque command signal to be given to a motor of an X-table and a torque command signal to be given to a motor of a Z-table are put into the controller of the active mass damper so that the motor for driving the weight can be driven by feed-forward control using the torque command signals and feedback control based on the displacement of the weight.

A printed circuit board processing machine has: a table that can travel in a X-direction carrying a printed circuit board thereon; a cross rail arranged so as to straddle the table; a plurality of sliders supported for independently movement in a Y-direction by the cross rail; a plurality of spindles supported for movement in a Z-direction by the sliders; a magnetic rail of a linear-motor fixed to the cross rail; and a plurality of coils of the linear-motor fixed to the sliders so as to oppose the magnetic rail.
