The present invention is to provide a fibrous material containing an antibacterial antifungal agent consisting of specific metal salt of organic compound effective for both antibacterial and antifungal functions and various articles containing the same fibrous material. The inclusion of the antibacterial antifungal agent consisting of specific metal salt of organic compound in fibrous materials allows production of fibrous materials having extremely high antibacterial antifungal activity. The present invention provides a method for producing a photosensitive material for silver complex diffusion transfer process containing a hydroxybenzene developing agent which comprises coating at least one gelatin-containing coating solution on a support to form photographic layers including a photosensitive layer and drying the coat, said drying being carried out by raising surface wet-bulb temperature of the coat to 14.degree. C. or higher before gelatin concentration in the coat reaches at most about 30% by weight.

The invention provides a process for making a lithographic printing plate utilizing silver image as ink receptive area which is markedly improved especially in printing endurance. The process comprises subjecting a light-sensitive material for lithographic printing plate to imagewise exposure and development and then treating the resulting silver image with an oxidizing agent and a monocyclic compound comprising a nitrogen-containing single ring and having substituents on at least two atoms constituting said ring, said substituents being capable of reacting with silver ion. The oxidizing agent and the monocyclic compound may be contained separately or together in a stop solution, a fixing solution, an etch solution or damping solution or especially prepared solution.

Method for making lithographic printing plate

Disclosed is a silver complex diffusion transfer process which comprises processing a photosensitve material comprising a support and at least a silver halide emulsion layer provided thereon and an image receiving material comprising a support and at least an image receiving layer provided thereon which are brought into close contact with each other in a developing processing solution. This process is characterized in that said image receiving layer has 1-3 g/m.sup.2 of a hydrophilic colloid at least 80% by weight of which is gelatin; total amount of hydrophilic colloid present on the emulsion layer side of the photosensitive material is 5-8 g/m.sup.2 ; when the materials are immersed in a 0.1N aqueous sodium hydroxide solution at 20.degree. C. for 1 minute, amount of absorbed solution per 1 g of hydrophilic colloid is 3.5-7 ml of the emulsion layer side of the photosensitive material and is 2-4 ml on the image receiving layer side of the image receiving material and the processing of the materials in the developing processing solution is carried out in the presence of at least one of 1-aryl or aralkyl substiuted-5-mercaptotetrazoles and at least one of 4-amino-3-unsubstituted or C.sub.1-3 alkyl substituted-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazoles.

Silver complex diffusion transfer process

A photosensitive material for diffusion transfer process is disclosed according to which characteristic such as high maximum density, high contrast and image reproducibility can be stably obtained. This photosensitive material comprises a support and, provided thereon, a silver halide emulsion layer and a hydrophilic colloid layer and which is processed in contact with an image receiving material in a processing solution for silver complex diffusion transfer process wherein at least one of the silver halide emulsion layer and the hydrophillic colloid layer permeable to water contains a hydroxybenzene developing agent; when the layers on the emulsion layer coated side are immersed in a 0.1N aqueous sodium hydroxide solution at 20.degree. C. for 1 minute, amount of solution absorbed in the layers is 3.5-7.0 ml per 1 g of hydrophilic colloid; and the support comprises a paper coated with polyolefin resin on both sides and has a water content of 5.5%-7.5%.

A photosensitive material for diffusion transfer process is disclosed which is superior in image reproducibility and running property of when processed with a processing solution for silver complex diffusion transfer process. This photosensitive material is characterized in that total binder amount on the silver halide emulsion coated side of the photosensitive material is 6-8 g/m.sup.2 and when the silver halide emulsion coated side of the photosensitive material is immersed in a 0.1N aqueous sodium hydroxide solution at 20.degree. C. for 1 minute, amount of the solution absorbed and the total binder amount on the emulsion coated side is 3.5:1-5.5:1.

Photosensitive material for transfer process

Disclosed is a process for image transfer from an image donating sheet to an image receiving sheet by treating these sheets in equipment or apparatus provided with a parting member, a processing tank and a pair of squeegee rolls which comprises introducing into the processing solution in the processing solution tank the image donating sheet and the image receiving sheet which are bonded together along one edge and between which the parting member is held.

Lithographic printing plates which have such a high sensitivity as permitting use of semiconductor laser beam of low output, a high resolving power and a high printing endurance and are free from occurrence of scumming are made by a method which comprises imagewise exposing a light sensitive material which comprises a support and at least a silver halide emulsion layer and a surface physical development nuclei layer provided on the support, said emulsion layer comprising silver halide grains which contain at least silver bromide and containing at least one sensitizing dye having a maximum spectral sensitivity in the region of longer than 700 .mu.m and then developing the exposed light sensitive material with a silver complex diffusion transfer developer containing at least a thiocyanate. Further improvement can be obtained by providing an antihalation means to keep the reflectance of a light of longer than 700 .mu.m at 13-40%.
