A moving-coil linear motor is formed with a stator means forming a guide and having a permanent magnet array having opposite poles alternately at constant intervals in longitudinal direction of the stator means, and a mover means mounted on the stator means for being movable through an electromagnetic force along the stator means, the mover means having three-phase moving coils wound in bipolar system on cores U-shaped in section. Positive and negative voltages are alternately applied through brushes to the moving coils of the mover means, while its U-shaped cores are opposed to the permanent magnet array, disposing the array between both leg portions of the U-shaped cores, with the magnetic efficiency of the motor thereby remarkably improved while sufficiently effectively minimizing the size.

A permanent magnet rotor has a plurality of holding projections radially outward projected from a yoke secured to outer periphery of a rotor shaft, the projections being extended in axial direction of the shaft and yoke while expanded at tip end portions in circumferential directions, and a plurality of permanent magnet segments respectively disposed between adjacent ones of the holding projections to have gaps remained at least partly in the periphery of the segments, the gaps being filled with a thermosetting resin so that constant positioning of the segments with respect to the yoke can be attained with the resin filled.

A brushless D.C. motor wherein one of projected stator poles positioned to be mutually equally spaced in mechanical angle is made sufficiently smaller than the other as partly cut off at circumferentially expanding pole tooth part, the stator poles being respectively polarized depending on controllably varied direction of direct current to coils on the poles by means of a rotor position detecting Hall element which detects the polarity at a predetermined position of the rotor, for allowing the rotor to self-start constantly in one direction with a remarkably increased starting torque.

Brushless D.C. motor having alternating wider and narrower pole shoes

A D.C. brushless motor wherein one of projected stator poles positioned forward and rearward in rotational direction of a rotor is deviated from a circumferentially equally spaced position with respect to the other stator pole by a predetermined electric angle and is made sufficiently smaller than the other, the stator poles being respectively polarized depending on controllably varied direction of direct current to coils on the poles by means of a rotor position detecting Hall element which detects the polarity at a predetermined position of the rotor, for allowing the rotor to self-start with a remarkably increased starting torque.

D.C. brushless motor having wider and narrower pole parts

A stator of uni-directional self starting synchronous motor of which magnetic pole teeth formed flatly integral with a yoke for opposing a flat disk shape rotor having axial rotary shaft. The yoke is of an elongated plate having adjacent an end the pole teeth comprising radially alternately extending inner and outer teeth formed as punched and joined through a connecting part, the plate is bent into a substantially U shape in section, a core of a magnetic material having an axial hole for passing therethrough the shaft of rotor is disposed between opposing both end parts of the yoke coaxially with the teeth to provide main magnetic path, and a coil wound on a bobbin is disposed around the core.
