There is disclosed a method of feeding a dampening water to a plate cylinder in an offset printing press which is accelerated to, operated at and then decelerated from a predetermined speed for printing. The method comprises the step of programmatically controlling the feeding amount of the dampening water to increase in accordance with the increase in speed of the printing press along a first curve which is predetermined to indicate the relation of the feeding amount of dampening water to the speed of printing press, when the printing press is accelerated. The method further comprises the step of programmatically controlling the feeding amount of the dampening water to decrease in accordance with the decrease in speed of the printing press along a second curve which is predetermined to indicate the relation of the feeding amount of dampening water to the speed of printing press, when the printing press is decelerated. The first and second curves being different in feeding amount of the dampening water from each other.

A wind direction adjusting device includes a wind speed uniforming unit provided upstream of a wind path having a nonuniform wind speed distribution from the side of high wind speed to the side of low wind speed, and a blow-off opening provided downstream of the wind path, which includes a wind direction deflecting plate for deflecting the blow-off direction of the blown-off wind. Further, the wind speed uniforming unit includes a deflecting guide provided on a wind path wall on the side of the high wind speed for deflecting blown-off wind toward a wind path center portion; a wind path wall portion on the side opposite deflecting guide, the shape of which is changed in accordance with the shape of the deflecting guide so that the sectional area of the wind path is substantially uniform; and an enlarged wind path portion provided immediately after the downstream side end portion of the deflecting guide, the enlarged wind path portion serving to return the blown-off wind from the wind path center portion to the wind path wall downstream the deflecting guide on the side of the deflecting guide.

A reversing gripper apparatus of a one side/perfecting printing press is disclosed. This reversing gripper apparatus comprises a receiving portion wherein a gripper pad fixed to the external circumference of a reversing cylinder grips a sheet of paper in combination with gripper members and a space for withdrawal, the gripper members comprise a combination of a master gripper provided on a common shaft and an auxiliary gripper opposed to the master gripper, the master gripper is formed with a width sufficient to cover the receiving portion of the gripper pad and the point of the auxiliary gripper at the same time and is controlled by a common shaft, and the auxiliary gripper has such a width as to be partly opposed to the width of the master gripper and is controlled with the common shaft as the center. By adopting this structure, the gripping function, register accuracy, and the gripping force of the reversing gripper apparatus are greatly increased.

Reversing gripper of one side and perfecting printing press

An air conditioning device for cooling and/or warming a room by introducing thereinto air in the room and heat exchanging the same. The device comprises an outer housing having a top covering wall 1a to face the ceiling, a rear covering wall 1b to face the rear wall surface, and side covering walls 2 to skirt left and right sides of the device. Partition member 3 divides said outer housing interior into an air intake chamber 4 and an air blowing chamber 5, said partition member having mechanical strength, and constituting a skeleton together with said outer walls, 1a, 1b, and 2, 2. A side covering panel 21 is fitted on said side covering walls to cover either or both said side covering walls 2. An air blowing means is provided in said air intake chamber 4 for sending air into said air blowing chamber 5. An air filter 7 is provided in said air intake chamber to remove dust in the air to be taken in by said air blowing means. An air intake grill 6 is provided on the lower surface of said outer housing between said rear covering wall 1b and said partition member 3, said grill being disposed in a freely mountable and dismountable manner. A forward air blowing grill 20 is provided in front of said outer housing. A heat exchanger is provided in said air blowing chamber. A downward air blowing grill is provided on the lower surface of said outer housing between said forward air blowing grill 20 and said heat exchanger 10.
