It is aimed to provide a connector capable of suppressing the generation of an excessive stress in a connecting part of a flat cable and a terminal. A connector is provided with a flat cable () including a hole () serving as a receiving portion, a housing () including an installation surface () on which the flat cable () is arranged and a protrusion () projecting from the installation surface () and to be inserted into the hole (), and a terminal () to be connected to a conductor () of the flat cable () and locked to the housing (). The flat cable () includes an extra length portion () providing an extra length as compared to flat arrangement on the installation surface () in a part surrounding the protrusion () or a part arranged between the terminal () and the protrusion () in an assembled state.

Connector

A terminal to be connected to a front end part of a flexible board including an insulating base film and a conductive path is provided with a terminal body including a sandwiching portion for sandwiching the flexible board and a tubular shell to be disposed outside sandwiching portion. The sandwiching portion includes a conductive contact portion for contacting the conductive path of the flexible board. The shell includes a pressurizing portion for pressing the sandwiching portion toward the flexible board, the pressurizing portion projecting inwardly of the shell. The shell includes a wide portion not formed with the pressurizing portion and a narrow portion narrower inside than the wide portion by being formed with the pressurizing portion. The narrow portion is located outside the sandwiching portion, whereby the conductive contact portion of the sandwiching portion contacts the conductive path.

Terminal and flexible board with terminal

It is aimed to reduce a load to fixing portions of a flat cable and terminal fittings. A connector (A) includes a flat cable formed such that a plurality of conductors are arranged in parallel on a flexible insulating sheet, a plurality of terminal fittings held in a housing and individually fixed to front end parts of the plurality of conductors, and a reinforcing plate laminated on and integrated with a region of the insulating sheet including fixing portions of the conductors and the terminal fittings. The reinforcing plate is provided with hooking portions. The housing is formed with stoppers for restricting a rearward displacement of the flat cable with respect to the housing by being brought into contact with the hooking portions. A low-rigidity portion is formed in a region of the reinforcing plate rearward of the fixing portions and forward of the hooking portions.

Looseness of two housings are suppressed. A connector includes a lower housing and an upper housing. The lower housing is provided with a locking portion. The upper housing is provided with an elastic locking piece that is hooked on the locking portion. The elastic locking piece has a cantilever shape, and restricts relative movement of the lower housing and the upper housing in a separation direction, which is a direction opposite to a coupling direction. The lower housing is provided with a protruding piece portion that protrude outward in a left-right direction. The upper housing is provided with a protruding piece restriction portion that restricts movement of the protruding piece portion. The protruding piece restriction portion is provided with an inclined surface that is inclined in an assembly direction to reduce a movable range of the protruding piece portion in a separation direction.

A connector is provided with a housing, a plurality of first terminal fittings, and a plurality of second terminal fittings. The terminal fittings are press-fitted from a rear side of press-fit holes of the housing and arranged to be parallel in a left-right direction. A first projecting part is formed on both left and right edge parts of each of the first terminal fittings, and a second projecting part is formed on both left and right edge parts of each of the second terminal fittings. Each of the projecting parts has a shape where only a portion of the terminal fitting in a length direction projects in the left-right direction, and a pressing surface that is pressed by a jig during press-fitting is formed. The projecting parts of adjacent terminal fittings are arranged such that formation positions thereof are not aligned in the front-rear direction.

Provided is a connector including: at least one plate-like housing body; a plurality of groove-like terminal housing chambers each opened in an upper surface of the housing body and parallelly arranged; a plurality of connection terminals provided at ends of a plurality of electrical wirings and housed and disposed in the terminal housing chambers, respectively; an electrical wiring support part supporting the plurality of electrical wirings extending from a back end side opening part of the terminal housing chambers; a sheet-like reinforced member which is placed on an upper surface of the electrical wiring support part and the plurality of electrical wirings are fixed to in a state of parallelly arranged; and a cover part overlapping with the upper surface of the housing body to cover the terminal housing chambers and sandwiching the sheet-like reinforced member between the cover part and the electrical wiring support part.

Joint connector

A wiring member includes a sheet material and a wire-like transmission member extending in a plane direction of the sheet material and fixed to the sheet material by a contact area direct fixation at intervals in three or more positions in a longitudinal direction of the wire-like transmission member. When an interval between two contact area direct fixation positions continuous in a longitudinal direction of the wire-like transmission member in contact area direct fixation positions of the sheet material and the wire-like transmission member is a fixation interval, the wiring member includes portions that differ in the fixation interval.

A female terminal () to be connected to an end of a wire () is provided with a wire connecting portion () including a base () and first and second pinching portions () extending along an extending direction from the base () and configured to pinch the wire (), and a sliding portion () movable along the extending direction and including first pressing portions (A,B) and second pressing portions (A,B) for pressing the first and second pinching portions () toward the wire () by coming into contact with the first and second pinching portions (). The first pressing portions (A,B) and the second pressing portions (A,B) project toward the first and second pinching portions () and are side by side at an interval in a direction intersecting the extending direction.

An electric cable including a terminal includes an electric wire and a female terminal. The female terminal includes a first holding portion and a second holding portion that hold the electric wire. The female terminal includes a first pressing portion and the second pressing portion pressing the first holding portion and the second holding portion toward the electric wire. The first protrusion and the second protrusion protrude toward the electric wire.
