A display apparatus includes a light source, and a partition wall which divides an inside of the display apparatus into an enclosing space which includes a plurality of optical elements and an outer space with respect to the enclosing space. The optical elements includes a color separator which receives a light from the light source and emits a plurality of separate color beams, at least one reflecting type light valve which forms an image by reflecting the plurality of color beams, and a projection lens which projects the image of an external screen. A first cooling fan is provided which causes an air flow in the outer space. A least one of the optical elements forms a part of the partition wall, and the air flow cools the at least one reflecting type light valve from the outer space.

A process for preparing a compound represented by formula (IIa')wherein Q represents group (i) as defined in the specification and Rto R, R, R, and Rare as defined in the specification, by (1) reacting a compound represented by formula (V)wherein Rto Rand Rare as defined in the specification. with a compound represented by RRC&#x2550;O wherein Rand Rare as defined in the specification; (2) reacting the compound prepared in (1) with a compound represented by R&#x2014;C(&#x2550;O)&#x2014;Rwherein Rand Reach independently represent a chlorine atom, 4-nitrophenyl, or 1-imidazolyl; and (3) reacting the compound prepared in (2) with a compound represented by ROH wherein Ris as defined in the specification.

A display apparatus includes a light source, plural reflecting type light valves having a light incidence/reflection surface which reflects incident light from the light source, and a partition wall which partitions a space in the display apparatus into a cooling air side and a light incidence/reflection surface side. Plural cooling fans which cause air flow to respective ones of the light valves, and a discharge fan which discharges a cooling air inside of the display apparatus through an outlet port are provided. A respective one of the cooling fans flows air to a side which is opposite to the incidence/reflection surface of a respective one of the light valves and a path of the air flow is formed from at least one of the cooling fans to the outlet port in an order of the opposite side of the light valve, the light source and the discharge fan.

A display apparatus includes a light source, a reflecting type light valve having a light incidence/reflection surface which reflects incident light from the light source, a first cooling fan which cools the reflecting type light valve, and a second cooling fan which cools the light source. A part of the display apparatus which is opposite to the light incidence/reflection surface of the reflecting type light valve is cooled by a cooling fluid generated by the first cooling fan.

A display apparatus having a reflecting type light valve which has a light incidence/reflection surface, a drive circuit which drives the reflecting type light valve by supplying an image signal, a cooling system which cools at least the reflecting type light valve with cooling fluid, and a partition wall which partitions a space in the display apparatus into a cooling fluid side and a light incidence/reflection side. A display device, such as a reflecting type liquid crystal projector, in which dust is prevented from becoming attached to a reflecting type light valve, such as a liquid crystal panel, and an improvement in cooling effect are attained. The device has a structure having a partition wall for forming an enclosed space including at least an incidence/emission optical system of the reflecting type light valve. The reflecting type light valve is provided in the partition wall such that a light incidence/emission surface of the light valve faces into the side of the enclosed space. A part opposite to the light incidence/emission surface of the reflecting type light valve faces outside the enclosed space. In a structure where a cooling arrangement or a thermal conductive partition wall is connected to the part opposite to the light incidence emission surface, the cooling effect is further improved.

A disk apparatus for use in a disk cartridge system including different types of disk cartridge. The disk cartridge system has a first disk cartridge and a second disk cartridge. The first disk cartridge including a first case having a substantially rectangular shape with first, second, third and fourth edges, and at least one of a first groove in both of the second and third edges, and a first cutout portion in both of the second and third edges and passing through a thickness of the first case. The second disk cartridge includes a second case having a substantially rectangular shape with fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth edges, the fifth edge of the second case being delimited by a fifth corner portion connecting the fifth edge and sixth edge, and at least one of a second groove located in only one of the sixth and seventh edges and a second cutout portion located in both of the sixth and seventh edges without passing through a thickness of the second case. A length, width and thickness of the first case are substantially equal to a length, width and thickness of the second case and a diameter and thickness of the first disk are substantially equal to a diameter and thickness of the second disk. The disk apparatus having a discrimination arrangement which discriminates at least one of the groove and the cutout portion.

Disk cartridge and disk device using the same

A disk cartridge system having different types of disk cartridges for use in a disk cartridge drive apparatus. A first disk cartridge includes a first case having a substantially rectangular shape with first, second, third and fourth edges, the first edge of the case being delimited by a first corner portion connecting the first edge and second edge and a second corner portion connecting the first edge and the third edge, the first case having a first cutout portion at both of the second and third edges and extending in a direction and passing through a thickness of the first case, and a first disk being housed in the first case. A second disk cartridge includes a second case with a substantially rectangular shape with fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth edges, the fifth edge of the second case being delimited by a fifth corner portion connecting the fifth edge and sixth edge and a sixth corner portion connecting the fifth edge and the seventh edge, the second case having a second cutout portion at both of the sixth and seventh edge and extending in a direction of a thickness of the second case without passing through the thickness of the second case, and a second disk being housed in the second case. A length, width and thickness of the first case are substantially equal to a length, width and thickness of the second case and a diameter and thickness of the first disk are substantially equal to a diameter and width of the second disk.

Tricyclic benzazepine compounds

A disk cartridge system including different types of disk cartridges for use in a cartridge drive apparatus, including first and second disk cartridges. The first disk cartridge including a first case having a substantially rectangular shape with first, second, third and fourth edges, the first edge of the case being delimited by a first corner portion connecting the first edge and second edge and a second corner portion connecting the first edge and the third edge. The first case has a first groove at a side plane of both of the second and third edges. The first case also has a first cutout portion at both of the second and the third edges and extending in a direction of and passing through the thickness of the first case. The second disk cartridge includes a second case with a substantially rectangular shape with fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth edges, the fifth edge of the second case being delimited by a fifth corner portion connecting the fifth edge and sixth edge and a sixth corner portion connecting the fifth edge and the seventh edge. The second case has a second groove at a side plane of only one of the sixth and seventh edge. The second case also has a second cutout portion at both of the sixth and the seventh edges extending in a direction of the thickness of the second case without passing through the thickness of the second case. A length, width and thickness of the first case are substantially equal to a length, width and thickness of the second case.

A disk cartridge and a disk device for receiving the disk cartridge to enable recording and/or reproducing of information from or on a disk housed within the disk cartridge. The disk cartridge includes a disk in which information is recorded and/or reproduced, a case for housing the disk which case has opposite faces including a window in a respective face for exposing a part of the disk therethrough. A shutter is mounted with respect to the case so as to open or close a window of a respective face of the case with the shutter being movable in opposite directions with respect to the window from a position in which the window is closed to a position in which the window is open. The disk cartridge may include an openable part of the case for enabling the disk to be taken in and out of the case through the openable part thereof and a discrimination arrangement for enabling discrimination of different types of disk cartridges from one another. The disk cartridge may be arranged to enable exchange of disks of a same or different format including CD (compact disk), DVD (digital video disk) and PD (phase change disk) and the discrimination arrangement enables prevention of a disk cartridge of one different type from being erroneously inserted into a disk device receiving apparatus which is not compatible for the different type of disk cartridge.

Compounds of formulae (II), (III), (IV) and (V) or salts thereof are intermediates for pharmacologically active tricyclic benzazepine and benzothiazepine derivatives, ##STR1## wherein R represents hydrogen, alkyl, phenylalkyl, or a protective group of a triazole ring, R.sup.1 -R.sup.5 represent hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxy, amino, oxim or hydroxyl, and R.sup.41 represents hydrogen, C.sub.1-6 alkyl which may be optionally substituted, or a protective group for a carboxyl group.
