A plant species identification apparatus for identifying plant species is disclosed. A reference data storage part stores reference spectral data which indicate a reflectance spectral feature classified by area segments including a sunlit portion and a shaded portion in addition to the plant species. A data input part acquires hyperspectral data to be a target. A determination part specifies the reflectance spectral feature of a pixel for each of pixels of the hyperspectral data from the reference data storage part and to determine the plant species of the pixels based on a classification of the reference spectral data.

The present invention relates to apatite that includes metal atoms having a photocatalytic function and other metal atoms, and the metal atoms having a photocatalytic function include metal atoms that absorb energy corresponding to light energy of visible light. The photocatalytic apatite composition and its production method are disclosed. The photocatalytic apatite comprises a photocatalytic apatite having incorporated into the apatite crystal structure thereof a metal oxide having a photocatalytic action, such as titanium oxide, and a metal ion having an antimicrobial property, such as a silver ion or a copper ion. The photocatalyst apatite composition is capable of maintaining excellent decomposition and adsorption properties for various organic materials such as VOCs or specific adsorbing substances such as a virus for a long time and, at the same time, expressing an excellent antimicrobial property in a dark place as well as under daylight.

The present invention provides a broad band light absorbing photocatalyst which has a high absorptivity not only for visible light but also, in particular, for ultraviolet light, exhibits photocatalytic activity in response to a broad band light over a long period, has a high adsorptivity for objects to be decomposed, and can exhibit oxidative decomposition effect, antibacterial effect, antifouling effect, etc. The broad band light absorbing photocatalyst of the present invention includes an apatite having photocatalytic activity, a visible light absorbing metal atom and an ultraviolet light absorbing metal atom and the ultraviolet light absorbing metal atom is at least one of tungsten (W) and vanadium (V).
