A compressor includes a casing, a housing inside the casing, and first and second welds. The casing includes a tubular barrel casing and an end casing. The first weld welds the barrel casing and the housing together. The second weld welds the barrel casing and the end casing together along a circumferential direction. The second weld includes a repeatedly welded portion formed by one end portion and an other end portion of the second weld overlapping each other, or the second weld includes a plurality of second welds each including a repeatedly welded portion formed by an end portion of the second weld and an end portion of an other one of the second welds overlapping each other. The repeatedly welded portion are formed to reduce deformation of the barrel casing. The repeatedly welded portion and the first weld are aligned along an axial direction of the barrel casing.

Compressor and method for manufacturing compressor

A scroll compressor includes fixed and movable scrolls including fixed and movable side end plates and fixed and movable side wraps. The fixed-side end plate includes a first fixed-side passage that communicates with a high-pressure space, and a second fixed-side passage to supply lubricating oil from the high-pressure space to a compression chamber formed between the scrolls. The movable-side end plate includes a movable-side groove that intermittently allows communication between the first fixed-side passage and the second fixed-side passage. The compression chamber includes a first compression chamber, and a second compression chamber located inside the first compression chamber. The second fixed-side passage includes a first fixed-side hole that intermittently communicates with the movable-side groove, and a second fixed-side hole that communicates with the first fixed-side hole and intermittently communicates with the second compression chamber.

Scroll compressor

A heat source unit of a refrigerant cycle apparatus includes a compressor, a pipe, and a fixing member. The compressor includes two or three connection portions of a first connection portion connecting a suction pipe, a second connection portion connecting a discharge pipe, and a third connection portion connecting an injection pipe. The pipe includes a vertical portion. At least a part of the vertical portion extends vertically from each of the two or three connection portions. The fixing member fixes at least two of the vertical portions of two or three of the pipes of the suction pipe, the discharge pipe, and the injection pipe. Each of the connection portions of the pipes fixed by the fixing member is located on a first straight line as seen in a top view.

A scroll compressor includes a fixed scroll, a movable scroll revolvable with respect to the fixed scroll, and a crankshaft rotatable to cause the movable scroll to revolve. A discharge port is formed in a first scroll of the fixed scroll or the movable scroll. A cutout portion is formed in a second scroll of the fixed scroll or the movable scroll. The cutout portion formed in the second scroll at least partially passes through a profile of the discharge port formed in the first scroll because of revolution of the movable scroll.

A scroll compressor includes fixed and movable scrolls defining a compression chamber, and a crankshaft. The movable scroll at least partially covers a discharge port formed in the fixed scroll to change a communication area that is a portion of a total area of the discharge port that contributes to communication with the compression chamber. First to third rotation angle positions become larger in order. As the crankshaft rotates from the first to second rotation angle position the communication area increases at a first rate. In the first rotation angle position the compression chamber and the discharge port start communicating with each other. The second rotation angle position is a preliminary discharge interval angle. As the crankshaft rotates from the second to third rotation angle position the communication area increases at a second rate. The second rate of increase is greater than the first rate of increase.

Provided is an efficient scroll compressor capable of suppressing deformation of a fixed scroll during operation. The scroll compressor includes: a fixed scroll () including a fixed-side end plate () and a spiral fixed-side wrap () protruding from a front surface () of the fixed-side end plate; a movable scroll () including a spiral movable-side wrap () combined with the fixed-side wrap to form a compression chamber (Sc); and a cover member () disposed in a high-pressure space on a rear surface () side of the fixed-side end plate and attached to the fixed scroll. The fixed-side end plate includes a compression chamber adjacent portion () at which the front surface of the fixed-side end plate faces the compression chamber. The compression chamber adjacent portion includes a high-pressure adjacent portion () disposed at a central portion of the compression chamber adjacent portion, and an intermediate- and low-pressure adjacent portion (). At the high-pressure adjacent portion, the front surface of the fixed-side end plate faces a high-pressure compression chamber. The intermediate- and low-pressure adjacent portion is disposed on the outer side of the high-pressure adjacent portion. The cover member defines a low- or intermediate-pressure rear surface adjacent space (S) that faces at least a part of a rear surface of the intermediate- and low-pressure adjacent portion in the compression chamber adjacent portion of the fixed-side end plate.

A scroll compressor includes fixed and orbiting scrolls, and satisfies at least one of a first condition and a second condition. In the first condition, a first gap between a distal end of the first wrap and the second base changes heading from an outer peripheral side of the first wrap to an inner peripheral side. In the second condition, a second gap between a distal end of the second wrap and the first base changes heading from an outer peripheral side of the second wrap to an inner peripheral side. A rate of change in the first gap in one area is greater than a rate of change in the first gap in another area. A rate of change in the second gap in one area is greater than a rate of change in the second gap in another area.

A scroll compressor includes a compression mechanism having fixed and movable scrolls to form a fluid chamber. The fixed scroll has an end plate, an outer peripheral wall, and a wrap. The movable scroll has an end plate and a wrap. A scroll oil groove is formed in a sliding contact surface of the outer peripheral wall. Lubricating oil having a high pressure corresponding to a discharge pressure of the compression mechanism is fed into the scroll oil groove. A scroll oil groove is formed in a sliding contact surface of the movable scroll, which slides on the outer peripheral wall. The fixed and movable scroll oil grooves communicate with each other without communicating with the fluid chamber in a first operation. The movable scroll oil groove simultaneously communicates with the fixed scroll oil groove and the fluid chamber in a second operation after the first operation.

A compressor includes a housing member having an injection passage communicating with a compression chamber, a check valve in the injection passage, and an injection pipe that supplies refrigerant to the injection passage. The check valve has a slidable valve body, and a valve supporting member that restricts movement of the valve body toward the injection pipe side when the check valve checks a flow of refrigerant. A center hole is formed in the valve body. A peripheral hole is formed in the valve supporting member and opposes a rim part of the valve body. Refrigerant passes through the peripheral and center holes and is supplied to the compression chamber. The center hole can be closed by the valve supporting member, and the peripheral hole can be closed by the rim part of the valve body when the check valve checks the flow of refrigerant.

A scroll compressor includes fixed and movable scrolls having a fixed and movable side plates and fixed and movable side laps to form first and second compression chambers. The fixed-side plate includes a discharge port and a relief hole extending from the front face through to the back face. The relief hole communicates for a predetermined amount of time with each of the first and second compression chambers and is shared by the first and second compression chambers. The front face of the movable-side plate includes a recessed part allowing the second compression chamber and the discharge port to communicate. The second compression chamber, during a latter stage of compression, and the discharge port communicating via a gap formed between a tip of the fixed-side lap and the recessed part before communicating via a side face gap formed between the fixed-side lap and the movable-side lap.
