A concrete leveling machine is provided which propels itself over the surface of laid concrete and by use of rotating augers or oscillating stabilizers and a temper, levels and finishes the surface to a prescribed level and condition. A laser reference beam transmitted over the surface is detected by detectors attached to the leveling section of the machine and deviation of the level of the detectors from a reference level is adjusted so that the leveling section is also brought to a level required to produce the desired surface level. The machine is turned by a turntable integral with the main body which lifts the machine allowing it to turn by differential drive to its drive wheels.

The present invention provides a finishing machine for a concrete surface comprising a body which supports a plurality of rotatable trowels with a plurality of trowel blades through radial support members so that the trowels can revolve around the central axis of the body, the body being equipped further with a driving device of the rotatable trowels, a power generator and traveling rollers of the finishing machine which is placed just below the central axis, wherein the driving device of the rotatable trowels is a gasoline engine, and wherein each rotatable trowel is driven by a transmission shaft branched off from a gearbox. The angle between the surface of revolution of each rotatable trowel and the concrete surface is minutely changeable by an angle adjustment mechanism.

Finishing machine for a concrete surface

A method of placing concrete into a steel encasement constructing an offshore structure. The steel encasement is erected. A plurality of first concrete injection holes are formed through the steel encasement in a heightwise spaced manner. The concrete is injected through the lowest disposed concrete injection hole into the erected steel encasement to a level below another concrete injection hole disposed just above said lowest disposed concrete injection hole. Then, the injection step is repeated in connection with a subsequent first concrete injection hole nearest to the level, to which the concrete has been placed, for placing the concrete into the steel encasement to a predetermined level.

A formwork apparatus for concrete placing comprises: a center frame assembly having upper and lower ends; first and second form panels for molding concrete walls, each having a supporting member mounted on an outer surface thereof, the first form panel pivotally connected at its supporting member to the upper end of the frame assembly so as to be pivoted about a substantially horizontal axis, the second form panel pivotally connected at its supporting member to the lower end of the frame assembly so as to be pivoted about an axis parallel to a pivot connecting the first panel with the frame assembly; a first fixing mechanism for fixing and releasing the first panel to and from a cured concrete wall; a second fixing mechanism for fixing and releasing the second panel to and from the concrete wall; a first drive mechanism for pivoting the frame assembly around the first panel when the first panel is fixed to the concrete wall so that the second panel is brought to a position upper side of the first panel; and a second drive mechanism for pivoting the frame assembly around the second panel when the second panel is fixed to the concrete wall so that the first panel is brought to a position upper side of the second panel.

An improved method and apparatus for placing concrete under water in an easy and effectual manner. The method comprises the steps of: immersing a tremie tube having a special valve device, into water; transferring concrete through the tremie tube; closing the valve device while the outlet of the tremie tube is kept within the deposited concrete; and lifting the tremie tube to move it to another point. The above valve device is provided with a cylindrical elastic valve member fitted in a cylindrical member forming a space to receive a fluid under pressure and, when the fluid space is supplied with a pressurized fluid, the elastic valve member is folded and expanded in inward radial directions to close up the concrete passage of the tremie tube. Another aspect of the invention is to propose the measurement of the state of deposited concrete by means of a concrete surface detecting device.
