Technology of the present invention improves the shielding performance of an outer conductor. A connectorincludes an inner conductorand an outer conductorthat surrounds the inner conductor. The outer conductorincludes a first outer conductorthat can be electrically connected to a shield layerof an electric wire, and a second outer conductorthat can be electrically connected to the first outer conductorand can be electrically connected to a partner outer conductorof a partner connector. The first outer conductoris a member formed with a tubular shape by casting or cutting, and includes a first lock portion. The second outer conductoris a plate-shaped member and includes a second lock portionthat can be locked to the first lock portion

The connector includes an inner conductor with electrical conductivity including a wire barrel that connects to the core wire and the terminal connection portion that electrically connects to the tab portion T of a mating terminal, a dielectric that is made of a synthetic resin and that includes a cavity that houses the inner conductor, and an outer conductor with electrical conductivity that encloses the dielectric, wherein the dielectric includes a first wall portion (inter-layer partition wall) adjacent to the inner conductor, and a portion of the first wall portion is a thin portion with less thickness than other portions.

The dielectricincludes a cavitythat extends in a predetermined direction and a locking holeformed in an inner peripheral face of the cavity. The inner conductorincludes an inner conductor bodyarranged in the cavity, and a locking portionthat bulges from the inner conductor bodyand can enter and be locked to the locking hole. The locking portionextends along the predetermined direction and is shaped as a double-supported beam whose upper and lower end portions are supported by the inner conductor body

A connector includes a housing and an outer conductor. The outer conductor includes a first outer conductor and a second outer conductor. The housing includes a fitting hole into which the second outer conductor is fitted. The first outer conductor includes a first lock portion. In the state where the first outer conductor is located at a normal insertion position, the first lock portion is arranged so as to face the back side in the fitting direction of the second outer conductor in the fitting hole. The second outer conductor includes a second lock portion that is locked to the first lock portion in the state where the first outer conductor is located at the normal insertion position. In the state where the second lock portion is locked to the first lock portion, the second outer conductor is retained in the fitting hole.

A connector 10 includes a housing 11 made of synthetic resin, a terminal 12 made of metal to be accommodated into the housing 11, a shield member 14 made of metal to be arranged on an outer periphery of the housing 11, and a cover member 15 made of synthetic resin for covering the shield member 14. The cover member 15 includes shield member locking portions 42 for locking the shield member 14 with the shield member 14 restricted from being detached from the cover member 14.

A connector (A) includes a dielectric and a multi-functional portion, an outer conductor is configured by uniting a first divided shell and a second divided shell, a first crimping portion to be crimped to an outer periphery of a shield member of a shielded cable is formed in a rear end part of the first divided shell, the multi-functional portion is exposed on an outer surface of the outer conductor and in the form of a projection forward of the first crimping portion on an outer surface of the dielectric, the first divided shell is formed with a first locking portion disposed to be able to lock the multi-functional portion, and a locking direction of the first locking portion to the multi-functional portion is a direction opposite to the first crimping portion to the shield member.

Shielded electrical connector

A twisted pair cable includes a twisted portion in which two communication wires are twisted each other and an untwisted portion in which the two communication wires are untwisted. The terminal is connected to a tip part of the untwisted portion. A crimping member includes a barrel portion crimped to an end part of the twisted portion on the side of the untwisted portion and a non-crimping portion extending from the barrel portion toward the untwisted portion and not crimped to the twisted pair cable. The non-crimping portion includes a facing portion facing the two communication wires in the untwisted portion and rising portions rising from both end part in a direction orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the untwisted portions in the facing portion. The rising portions surround the two communication wires together with the facing portion.

It is aimed to enable a plurality of housings to be stacked without enlarging a connector. A connector includes a housing () including a lock receiving portion () inside and a case () internally provided with accommodation areas () capable of accommodating a plurality of the housings () in parallel and including lock portions () on back surfaces () of the accommodation areas (), and the lock portions () resiliently lock the lock receiving portions () of the respective housings () to restrict the separation of the housings () from the accommodation areas ().

A moving direction of an operating member () from an initial position toward a connection position with respect to a housing () is selectable from directions along a first movement path and a second movement path opposite to each other. The housing () includes a first lock portion () and a second lock portion () at positions line-symmetrical with respect to a center of a length along the moving direction of the operating member (). The first and second lock portions () lock and hold the operating member () selected to move along the first movement path respectively at the initial position and the connection position and lock and hold the operating member () selected to move along the second movement path respectively at the connection position and the initial position.

It is aimed to prevent a tape from being displaced in the case of taping a connector. In the case of fixing a connector to a wiring harness (WH) by winding a tape, upper-surface side ribs () extending in a direction substantially perpendicular to a winding direction of a tape (T) are formed to project on opposite end parts of the upper surface of a connector housing (). In the case of taping, a winding width is set to be wider than the upper-surface side ribs (). Since this causes opposite end parts of the upper-surface side ribs () in an extending direction to serve as parts for catching the tape (T), a situation where the tape (T) is displaced in the extending direction of the upper-surface side ribs () can be prevented.
