An object of the present invention is to provide, for example, a more practical wound healing accelerator that more effectively accelerates wound healing. More specifically, a feature of the present invention is to provide, for example, a more practical wound healing accelerator that is easily obtained in a larger amount than that of peripheral blood platelet and has a better wound healing effect than that of peripheral blood platelet. The present invention employs a platelet-like cell population coexpressing one or more platelet surface markers and one or more mesenchymal cell surface markers. A wound healing accelerator containing the platelet-like cell population is a more practical wound healing accelerator that more effectively accelerates wound healing. The platelet-like cell population is easily obtained in a larger amount than that of peripheral blood platelet and has a better wound healing effect than that of peripheral blood platelet.

A method for producing a mesenchymal cell line derived from a vertebrate adipose tissue, and a mesenchymal cell line derived from a vertebrate adipose tissue produced by the method. Advantageously, a method for producing a mesenchymal cell line derived from a vertebrate adipose tissue is achieved more simply, in a shorter period of time, and more efficiently. Also, a mesenchymal cell line is derived from a vertebrate adipose tissue produced by the production method. The method for producing a mesenchymal cell line derived from a vertebrate adipose tissue comprises: (A) inducing differentiation of one or more cells selected from a stromal vascular fraction comprising a mesenchymal stem cell, an adipose progenitor cell, and a stromal cell of a vertebrate adipose tissue into a mature adipocyte; and (B) inducing dedifferentiation of the mature adipocyte obtained in step (A) to obtain a mesenchymal cell line derived from the vertebrate adipose tissue.

The present invention provides a conjugate wherein GP (glycoprotein) Ib and a lipid are bonded via polyalkylene oxide. The present invention also provides a complex (GPIb lipid complex) containing this conjugate and a free lipid. The GPIb lipid complex is expected to have a potential for practical application in a wide range, as a platelet substitute, a pharmaceutical agent for the prophylaxis or treatment of angiopathy, vascular damage and thrombosis, a diagnostic for vWF deficiency and the like, a biological or medical reagent, a reagent for screening platelet aggregation suppressant or antithrombosis, and the like. The GPIb lipid complex of the present invention is also useful as a diagnostic for finding the location of vascular lesion or thrombus formation, or a therapeutic agent thereof. Moreover, the GPIb lipid complex of the present invention is also superior in retention property in blood, which enables continuous expression of a pharmacological action. The conjugate of the present invention is highly utilizable as an active ingredient of the GPIb lipid complex of the present invention.

GPIb-lipid bond construct and use thereof

A complex comprising a lipid and a conjugate of GPIb and lipid having a functional group, and use thereof. The GPIb-lipid complex of the present invention is extremely useful as a platelet substitute, a pharmaceutical agent for the prophylaxis and treatment of angiopathy, vascular damages and thrombosis, a diagnostic for vWF deficiency and the like, a biological or medical reagent, a reagent for screening platelet aggregation suppressant or antithrombosis, and the like. GPIb-lipid complex and uses thereof

A method and apparatus for determining an abnormal component of blood functions is described. A whole blood sample is cycled as a laminar flow through a flow cell having a measuring element prepared by plating the surface of a plate-shaped quartz oscillator with a protein layer. The amount of adhesion of the blood component on the protein layer is determined on the basis of the change in resonance frequency of the measuring element. The measured value is compared with a standard value of adhesion for blood from a healthy individual.

Determination of abnormal part of blood functions

The subject is a plasma-enhanced CVD process for depositing a silicon oxide film on a substrate by using an organosilicon compound such as tetraethoxysilane and oxygen or ozone as the essential reactants. The disclosed CVD method uses a plasma containing oxygen ions, and the density of oxygen ions impinging on the substrate surface is cyclically decreased and increased with a short period such as, e.g., 1 sec. In extreme cases which are rather preferable, the effect of the oxygen plasma is cyclically nullified and returned to a maximum to thereby alternate plasma CVD and plain thermal CVD. The obtained film is comparable in film properties to silicon oxide films deposited by known plasma CVD methods and, when the substrate has steps such as aluminum wiring lines, is better in step coverage and gap filling capability. The film exhibits a still better profile when hydrogen peroxide gas or an alternative hydrogen containing gas is added to the reactant gas mixture.

Method and apparatus for forming silicon oxide film by chemical vapor

A silicon oxide film is deposited on a substrate by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) using an organosilicon compound such as tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) and ozone as the principal reactants. The organosilicon compound gas and an ozone-oxygen gas which is relatively low in ozone concentration such as 0.1-1% are mixed in a gas mixer outside the CVD reaction chamber, and the resultant gas mixture is fed into the reaction chamber. Separately, another ozone-oxygen gas which is relatively high in ozone concentration such as 1-10% is introduced directly into the reaction chamber so as to come into contact with and mix with the aforementioned gas mixture in the vicinity of the substrate surface. The obtained silicon oxide film is good in film properties and step coverage, and the CVD operation does not suffer from deposition of reaction products in the gas feeding pipes and gas injecting nozzles.

An apparatus for determining the functioning properties of cells which includes a sample containing chamber, a rotor disposed in the chamber and having a conical surface which faces the inner bottom surface of the chamber at an angle of not greater than 2.degree., a ray transmission path from which a ray is projected into a sample of a cell suspension between the rotor and the inner bottom surface, and a transmitted ray detection path from which transmittance from the sample is detected. The optical path length in the sample is not smaller than 1 cm. An adequate shear stress is applied to the sample by adjusting the gap between the rotor and the inner bottom surface and rotating the rotor. A fine response by the cells caused by the applied shear stress, particularly the aggregation of platelets in a platelet suspension, can be accurately and quantitatively determined with a high sensitivity.
