A pump case of an electric pump is constructed by coupling a first pressed member formed with a cylindrical part for holding a first rolling ball bearing rotatably supporting a rotary shaft, and a second pressed member formed with a recess for receiving an inner rotor provided at a tip end of the rotary shaft to each other. Because the first pressed member and the second pressed member are formed by deep-drawing work, it is possible to achieve simplification of the structure and reduction of the cost, as compared with the pump case which has been produced from an aluminum die casting or the like, as in the related art.

The invention relates to an internal gear pump including: a rotor member including an outer rotor provided with inner teeth to which a torque supplied from a driving device is transmittable; an inner rotor provided with outer teeth engageable with the inner teeth of the outer rotor so to be driven by a rotation of the outer rotor, wherein a rotation axis of the inner rotor is eccentric with respect to a center of the rotor member; a pair of housings provided on opposite sides of the rotor member and the inner rotor to support the rotor member and the inner rotor; and at least one rolling bearing provided between at least one of the housings and the rotor member.

Internal gear pump

In a method of operating an electric motor which drives an auxiliary oil pump for supplying a hydraulic pressure of an ATF to a transmission, only at an idle stop of an engine via a rotation shaft pivotally supported by ball bearings, the electric motor is rotated at a very low speed or in an intermittent manner when an automobile is traveling and the auxiliary oil pump is not used. According to the configuration, the electric motor is slightly rotated during when the automobile is traveling, whereby impressions are prevented from being formed on the ball bearings.

For extension of service lives of rollers and discs of a toroidal continuously variable transmission, input discs, output discs and rollers are formed of a heat-resisting bearing steel. At least a roller has its peripheral surface subjected to a shot peening for achieving a compressive residual stress of 0.6 to 1.2 GPa and a hardness of HRC 63 to 66 at the outermost surface.

A radial roller bearing consisting of rings and rollers, either the rolling contact surface of each roller or the raceway surfaces of the rings or both are crowned, the amount of crowning which is defined as .DELTA.t/l i.e., the depth of crowning .DELTA.t to the effective roller length of l, is set to 0.0007 to 0.002, the ring has a rib at its one end, the end surface of each roller which makes contact with the rib is spherically convex, while the contacted surface of the rib is spherically concave.
