Various embodiments of the present technology comprise a method and apparatus for an ignition system. In various embodiments, the ignition system activates a soft shutdown of an ignition coil in the event of an over dwell condition. The apparatus comprises a first counter and a second counter that are selectively activated at predetermined events. An output of the second counter controls the value of a reference current that decreases linearly over time and wherein a rate of change of the reference current may be adjusted according to a frequency of a clock signal. In various embodiments, the soft shutdown operates independent of the supply voltage and temperature.

A door handle apparatus may include a first sensor and a second sensor positioned to detect water flowing across the sensors. Various embodiments of the present technology may provide methods and system for a capacitive touch sensor. The system is configured to measure a capacitance of a capacitive sensor element and generate a corresponding voltage using a sensing circuit. The sensing circuit may include an amplifier configured to generate a plurality of amplified voltages by applying a set of gain values to the voltage. The sensing circuit may further analyze a set of values according to the plurality of the amplified voltages.

An audio signal processing apparatus for outputting an input digital audio signal as a positive phase PWM signal and a negative phase PWM signal. The resolution of the input digital audio signal is converted to a low resolution and noise shaping is performed to generate a positive phase digital signal (REF_P) and a negative phase digital signal (REF_N). Both signal patterns are compared at a buffer and pattern comparator section when muting. If the signal patterns match, a selector outputs a set value having 50% duty instead of the digital signals to optimize timing for switching to 50% duty when muting.
