An object of the invention is to provide an easy sealing technique of a battery element. A battery module has a battery element placed in the frame shape of an insulating middle frame body. This battery element is covered across the middle frame body by a positive electrode-side plate and a negative electrode-side plate to be contained. In the battery module, an insulating outer peripheral frame body is provided to cover outer peripheral plate sections of the positive electrode-side plate and the negative electrode-side plate along a circumference in a frame shape to include circumferential end faces of the positive and negative electrode-side plates and a circumferential end face of the middle frame body.

Battery module and battery unit

A head protection device includes an air bag and a guiding bracket, and the guiding bracket includes an attachment surface that has an attachment portion attached to a body panel, a guiding wall that has a support portion for supporting the air bag, and a contact portion that is coupled to an end of the guiding wall in the vehicle cabin side and contacts a ceiling material. A weak portion deformed toward the vehicle cabin outer side by a load of a passenger's head at a collision causing no activation of an inflator is formed between the support portion of the guiding wall and the contact portion.

Head protection device and guiding bracket

A vehicle ceiling structure includes a ceiling interior material that covers a curtain shield air bag with a terminal side, an assist grip is attached to a body panel through an attachment hole provided in the ceiling interior material and an attachment portion is provided on the assist grip. The attachment portion is in contact with or faces an outer circumference of the attachment hole in a surface of the ceiling interior material in a vehicle cabin side. The vehicle ceiling structure on a surface thereof in a vehicle cabin outer side, has an annular groove facing the outer circumference of the attachment portion such that the annular groove surrounds the attachment portion.

Vehicle ceiling structure

A battery holder is equipped with a support unit having a battery holding hole, and a holder unit interposed between the battery holding hole and the battery. The holder unit has a first spacer and a second spacer. The first spacer has a support part that supports the battery in the support unit. The second spacer is formed using a material with a lower melting point than the melting point of the material of the first spacer, this is inserted in the heat shielding space, and when the second spacer is melted by heat and flows out from the heat shielding space, the constitution is such that the heat shielding space shifts the heat insulation space.

Battery holder

A battery cover member () of the present invention includes a metallic electrode terminal (), a metallic cover member () having through holes (), and an insulating resin member (), in which the electrode terminals inserted into the through hole and the cover member are integrally bonded together by the insulating member, wherein at least a sealing area () of the electrode terminal that adheres to the insulating member is formed as a columnar shape or an elliptically columnar shape.

Battery cover member

A battery assembly includes single-battery cells, and thermally-conductive members. The thermally-conductive members are formed of a soft material as a plated configuration. The soft material exhibits thermal conductivity and electric insulatability. The single-battery cells, and the thermally-conductive members are adhered to each other, and are disposed one after another alternately in a row, thereby interposing the thermally-conducive members between the single-cell batteries. The thermally-conductive members include a radiation surface respectively from which heat that the single-battery cells produce radiates. The single-battery cells are cooled indirectly by cooling the radiation surfaces of the thermally-conductive members.

Battery assembly

A roughened rubber bonding surface having a predetermined roughness of a rubber member and a roughened resin bonding surface having a predetermined roughness of a resin member made of a thermoplastic resin are connected to constitute a bonding interface, and ultrasonic vibrations are applied to the bonding interface from the rubber member side. Only the resin member is fused by friction heat generated in the bonding interface so as to force fused resin into the rubber member, and the fused resin that has been so forced into the rubber member is solidified therein, whereby both the rubber member and the resin member are mechanically bonded by virtue of an anchoring effect produced by the two members which are entangled together.

Rubber/resin ultrasonic bonding method

A high thermal conduction insulator exhibiting thermal conductivity, insulating properties and heat radiating properties is produced by supplying a molding material composed of an insulating resin, a diamagnetic material powder and a paramagnetic material (inclusive of ferromagnetic material) powder, and exhibiting fluidity into a mold, and applying a magnetic field to the molding material in the mold to orient clusters, each being composed of diamagnetic material particles of the diamagnetic material powder, which are joined together like a chain, along directions of lines of a magnetic force, and draw the paramagnetic material (inclusive of ferromagnetic material) powder with the magnetic force along one of mold surfaces of the mold, thereby forming a heat radiating layer. Heat transmitted from a facing member to one surface of the insulator is speedily transmitted to the other surface thereof via the clusters, and is effectively radiated from the heat radiating layer existing in the other surface.

Insulator with high thermal conductivity and method for producing the same

Metal cell tanks including secondary cells respectively are connected to one another by connection members. For example, a connection member has: an insulation portion interposed between adjacent cell tanks for keeping the cell tanks electrically insulated from each other; an one-end holding portion extending from one end of the insulation portion for holding one end portion of one of the adjacent cell tanks; and an opposite-end holding portion extending from the other end of the insulation portion for holding the other end portion of the other of the adjacent cell tanks.

Connection member and battery pack

In a sealed battery pack comprising a plurality of serially disposed cells in which power generating elements are housed in prismatic cell cases and the openings thereof are sealed, the plurality of serially disposed cells are housed in a cooling box, and the top openings in the cooling box and the openings in the various cell cases of the cells are sealed by integrating lids. Coolant passages on both sides between the side surfaces of the cells and the side walls on both sides of the cooling box in the cell arrangement direction, and coolant passages between the cases of the cells are formed so as to communicate with each other, so that all of the side surfaces of the cells are forcibly cooled by a coolant.
